About The Team

This position will play a key role on the Revenue team, reporting to the Senior Director of Revenue. As Life360 continues to grow as a dual-listed public company, expand internationally, and explore strategic initiatives, we are seeking a Sr. Manager, Revenue to lead key aspects of our revenue processes, including technical accounting assessments, monthly revenue recording and reporting, and SOX compliance.

About the Job

The Senior Revenue manager oversees the full end-to-end revenue cycle and partners with various cross-functional teams to enhance revenue operations and lead accounting for complex multiple-element revenue arrangements. This role requires the candidate to have a strong understanding and application of revenue recognition guidance for subscription, hardware, and advertising revenue streams under US GAAP. 

 

This role also heavily focuses on data and process enhancement projects and requires a project management mindset and the ability to multitask and prioritize to be successful.

 

For candidates based in the US, the salary range for this position is $124,500 to 183,500 USD. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary- therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.

What You’ll Do

US GAAP. 

  • Ensure an accurate and timely revenue close process by reviewing and approving journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis.  This includes, but is not limited to, revenue, deferred revenue, contra, and cost of sale accounts
  • Prepare or review revenue recognition assessments for complex contracts, ensuring proper accounting treatment for multiple performance obligations, variable consideration, and contract modifications in accordance with ASC 606.
  • Lead revenue analysis and preparation of metrics to enhance performance insights, identify trends, and surface / solve for comparative period discrepancies 
  • Design, implement, and maintain internal controls in accordance with SOX regulations and other public reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth quarterly and year-end review and audit processes.
  • Define and lead process creation and system implementation related to new product offerings to ensure scalable revenue processes
  • Enforce compliance at all levels by defining engagement rules, documenting processes for the various revenue streams, and supporting a controlled yet innovative environment to support scalability
  • Lead multiple cross-functional work streams by creating thoughtful project plans, efficiently multi-tasking, and adhering to tight deadlines
  • Implement and enhance systematic processes and automation to support our scalability goals
  • Manage, mentor, and develop revenue accountants, providing guidance training and career development opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture, ensuring continuous process improvement and alignment with company goals.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant field; MBA or Masters’ degree is a plus
  • CPA designation is highly desirable
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting, including 3+ years focused on revenue recognition or revenue accounting
  • Experience in a public company environment, with familiarity in working under Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and SEC reporting.
  • Strong background in applying ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers) and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Experience in managing or leading a team within a fast-paced environment; delivering accuracy while managing to deadlines where adaptability is imperative.
  • Demonstrated ability to think outside the box and solve problems in ambiguous environments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to articulate verbally and written, willingness to appropriately explain difficult issues; ability to think quickly and thoughtfully
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage a high volume of requests
  • Ability to understand broader business, operational, and financial issues
