About the Job

The Senior Director of Business Development will serve as a strategic and operational leader, driving Life360’s most important partnership initiatives and helping to shape the company’s partnership strategy at large.

This role will sit at the intersection of strategy, product partnerships, and business operations, where you will be responsible for advancing high-priority initiatives that expand Life360’s family value proposition — including pets, aging parents, and connected devices — while also developing scalable frameworks for subscription distribution and strategic alliances.

This individual will operate as both a strategic architect and hands-on executor, leading through influence across a range of cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Strategic Initiatives: Drive high-priority business development efforts and initiatives across emerging Life360 verticals and use cases, including pets, aging parents, new device-based services, and ad-tech.

  • Shape Company-Wide BD Strategy: Collaboratively create the framework for how Life360 identifies, evaluates, and prioritizes partnership opportunities across consumer, hardware, platform, and ad-tech categories. Assist in designing and scaling the function and the external-facing Partner Program to best-in-class execution.

  • Build and Negotiate Partnerships: Identify, assess, structure, close, and manage complex, high-impact partnerships that enhance Life360’s membership value and drive measurable growth.

  • Triage and Prioritize Inbound Leads: Serve as the first point of contact for executive-driven partnership opportunities, evaluating potential fit and strategic value.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate deeply with Product, Marketing, Engineering, Legal, and Finance to ensure the successful execution of partnership launches and post-close scaling.

  • Market Insight & Vision: Maintain a forward-looking perspective on consumer tech trends, partner ecosystems, ad-tech, and competitive positioning.

  • Scale the Business Development Team: Develop best practices, frameworks, and playbooks that guide how Life360 approaches partnerships across all levels. Serve as a mentor to a rapidly growing team of business development professionals.

What We’re Looking For

  • 12+ years of Tech sector experience in business development and/or strategic partnerships, with substantial time spent at a senior level. Experience in corporate strategy, product management, and/or management consulting is also highly valued. Primary Tech sector focus areas should include mobile consumer apps, connected devices, and/or ad-tech.

  • Strategic operator with a proven record of leading category-expanding initiatives through inorganic strategy development and execution of transformative partnerships.

  • Strong executive presence and communication skills for cultivating and engaging with a diverse set of C-level partner relationships.

  • Highly analytical and creative, capable of balancing vision with rigorous execution, with an expert-level ability to develop business cases, financial models, and presentation materials to assess and communicate business development opportunities.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams through complex negotiations and partner integrations in time-compressed environments.

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and context-switching between long-term initiatives and quick-turn opportunities.

Our Benefits

  • Competitive pay and benefits
  • Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance plans (100% paid for employees)
  • 401(k) plan with company matching program
  • Mental Wellness Program & Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for mental well-being
  • Flexible PTO, 13 company-wide days off throughout the year
  • Winter and Summer Weeklong Synchronized Company Shutdowns
  • Learning & Development programs
  • Equipment, tools, and reimbursement support for a productive remote environment
  • Free Life360 Platinum Membership for your preferred circle

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

A "recently separated veteran" means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.

How do you know if you have a disability?
