We’re looking for an Intermediate Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our NuORDER by Lightspeed team. With NuORDER by Lightspeed, you’ll help build tools that empower wholesale merchants to grow their businesses, making their workflows smoother and more efficient. 

As a Full-Stack Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our web applications, ensuring the highest level of performance and user experience. You will also collaborate with our team of designers, product managers, and engineers to develop new features and improve our existing products.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Writing clean, scalable, and maintainable code across the stack
  • Collaborate with our team of designers, product managers, and engineers to develop new features and improve existing products that support our customers
  • Ensure the highest level of performance and user experience for our web applications
  • Show ownership and accountability over your work
  • Write code that is clean, tested, maintainable, and efficient; encourage others to do so via meaningful code reviews and technical discussions to improve quality and share knowledge
  • Work with your team and other teams to integrate our web applications with third-party services and APIs
  • Supporting technical decisions and helping shape how features are implemented
  • Learning and growing with your team while having fun along the way!

 

What you need to bring:

  • Solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript 
  • An extreme ownership mentality
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with a team in a modern agile development environment
  • Ability to meaningfully reflect on the successes and failures of both yourself and your team

 

Nice to have (but not required):

  • Node.js or similar modern backend frameworks
  • React or similar modern frontend frameworks
  • Java (or a willingness to learn)
  • Experience with GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools
  • Familiarity with Elastic, SQL, and NoSQL
  • An interest in observability, metrics, and monitoring
