New

Quality Specialist I

Yerevan, Yerevan, Armenia

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by. Are you actively looking for a new opportunity, or just checking the market? You might just be in the right place!

We're looking for a QA Engineer to join our team in Yerevan, working on our Lightspeed eCom (ex-Ecwid) product.

Lightspeed eCom (ex-Ecwid) is an e-commerce SaaS platform. We provide a way for creatives and small business owners globally to create online stores without programmers or designers.

You'll join our Customization team, which helps our customers develop and improve their online stores by creating new custom features.

You can check examples of customization here: https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/articles/360003143039-Ecwid-customization-examples

We primarily test web applications and less frequently mobile ones. Our main focus is on the frontend, but we also occasionally delve into backend feature testing (depending on the specific feature). We use YouTrack as our bug tracking system and Docker for setting up local testing.

Please keep in mind that we work in a hybrid set up with three days in the office, and you need to be located in Yerevan to apply.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Design, review, maintain, and execute manual & cross-browser tests

  • Document test plans and procedures, and keep the QA knowledge base up to date

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to identify, document, and resolve feature defects

  • Lead and participate in release testing efforts for custom feature deployment.

  • Check if the new functionality we code matches requested specifications—in other words, ensure that what we produce is what our client wants

  • Raise the bar and elevate your team by sharing knowledge and best practices, while always seeking continuous improvement and progress

What you need to bring:

  • Experience in functional testing of web applications for at least two years.

  • Good knowledge of developer tools (such as the Elements, Console, Network, and Application tabs), or the ability to quickly learn them.

  • Basic proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Experience with Git and terminal.

  • Knowledge of test design techniques and the ability to apply them.

  • Analytical mindset: noticing the non-obvious, identifying shortcomings, and possessing an internal sense of aesthetics.

  • Responsibility—being able to see tasks through to completion.

  • Empathy and the ability to view the product through the eyes of the users.

  • Be open-minded about seeking improvement and feedback.

  • Fluent Russian & conversational English (B1).

What’s in it for you?

  • Lightspeed equity scheme (we are all owners)
  • Health & Wellness Credit- expense up to 195000 AMD per year towards your gym membership, yoga classes, a new bike or whatever else you do for your health
  • Mental Health Support through the Modern Health App- whether it is meditation, coaching or counseling you need - each employee gets access to this platform
  • Support to talk with external Russian speaking psychologists (up to 7 sessions/year)
  • A medical insurance plan that covers dental care
  • People Experience - Our PX benefit allows you to work from pretty much anywhere in the world for 60 days a year
  • At Lightspeed we value your professional development; you’ll have regular performance reviews and opportunities to make growth
  • Variety of resources. We provide Apple MacBooks Pro for work, free access to LinkedIn Learning for any course of your choice and cover 50% of the cost of SkyEng English classes.
  • Flexible hours and hybrid work
  • Awesome office space located near city center of Yerevan
