About the role:

The Sr. Financial Analyst – Supply Chain Finance is responsible for supporting the end-to-end FP&A process for supply chain costs, including annual planning, monthly forecasting, and detailed actuals analysis. The role focuses on computing expected costs and analyzing variances versus actuals to improve forecast accuracy, reviewing inventory adjustments and write-offs to ensure compliance, and evaluating material consumption and purchase price variances to reduce waste. This position conducts SKU-level cost analysis, gross margin variance reviews, and transfer price reconciliations—while leveraging automation and data-driven insights to manage large datasets effectively. Partnering closely with Operations, Procurement, and Finance, the analyst drives value creation initiatives, cost optimization strategies, and process improvements, while providing ad-hoc financial support to enhance overall supply chain performance and profitability.

Functions and duties of this role include, but not limited to:

  • Demonstrate exceptional operational skills. Assist in FP&A process for Supply Chain costs – annual planning, month forecasting, actuals analysis.
  • Computation of expected cost and comparing it with actuals to understand the variances and improve the forecast accuracy.
  • Review inventory adjustments, including write-offs, and ensure compliance with our control framework.
  • Analysis of material consumption and identifying the variances vs estimates and calling out key actions to reduce business waste.
  • Embrace a data-driven mindset. Analyze consumption and purchase price variances, and conduct expected vs. actual costing analysis by SKU to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Assist in Transfer Price reconciliations related to the new Liquid IV plant at Jefferson City, ensuring accurate allocation and reporting of costs.
  • Conduct gross margin variance analysis to identify key drivers impacting profitability and recommend corrective actions. Focus on automation solutions to efficiently manage large data sets.
  • Contribute to value creation initiatives within the supply chain, including sourcing optimization, cost reduction strategies, and savings monitoring.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as required to support business partners.
  • Be a collaborator. Work cross-functionally with Operations, Procurement, and Finance teams to implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance, with at least 1-2 years in a supply chain finance or related role.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, cost accounting principles, and supply chain operations.
  • Experience in reviewing and analyzing inventory data, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably Microsoft D365) and MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement and value creation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization

Work Environment:

  • This role is Hybrid office environment with flexibility for industry events.

The compensation band for this position is $88,200 - $132,400 annually. The exact salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal company equity, and budget. The listed range is applicable only to the annual base salary and does not include additional perks, benefits, or applicable bonus eligibility comprising the total compensation package.
