Social Worker Children in Care - Jersey

This frontline role focuses on delivering high‑quality assessment, safeguarding and care planning work for children in need, children looked after, care leavers and those requiring protection. Your Key Responsibilities 

  • Deliver social work assessments and interventions for children in need, children looked after, care leavers and those requiring safeguarding.
  • Develop and review holistic care plans that place the child’s voice and rights at the centre.
  • Assess and manage risk, escalating concerns and using statutory powers where required
  • Maintain clear, accurate and analytical case records in line with legislation and best practice.
  • Communicate effectively with children, families and professionals, including in highly sensitive situations.

For this role you will need

  • Social Work qualification (Degree, Diploma or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk assessment and statutory social work practice.
  • Experience delivering social work services to children, young people, families and carers.
  • Ability to analyse complex information and produce high‑quality written reports.
