Senior Electromechanical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Electromechanical Engineer. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex electromechanical systems that enhance our mobile security solutions. This hands-on, cross-disciplinary role requires expertise in mechanical, electrical, and automation systems, focusing on creating scalable and reliable systems that meet rigorous industry standards. You will transform our electrical and mechanical engineering by providing solutions to complex hardware engineering problems. Our team’s success will rely upon your ability to develop innovative new ideas and be an active contributor on a cross-functional team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of electromechanical systems, including machine automation, mechanical design, and electrical harness design.
- Lead efforts to design and integrate IoT devices (Sensors, actuators, network devices, POE cameras, etc.)
- Design and develop electrical systems, including, but not limited to, production test fixtures.
- Drive the integration of power systems, including PV systems, Leadacid & Lithium batteries, and fuel cells.
- Conduct system-level troubleshooting and statistical analysis using JMP or other software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with FCC, CE, UL/ETL, DOT, SAE, and other regulatory requirements.
- Stay abreast of new technologies, regulatory changes, and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Utilize Creo Parametric, Creo Schematics, and Creo Simulate for mechanical and electrical design and analysis.
- Interacted with contract manufacturers and managed project timelines using Atlassian tools (Confluence & Jira).
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 10 + years of relevant experience within the engineering discipline
- Proven experience in machine automation and controls, mechanical and electrical design, and electrical harness design.
- Hands-on experience with CAD Cabling Tools, Schematics, and FEA tools.
- Experience with industrial control systems, IoT devices, PV systems, and power systems (Lead-Acid & Lithium batteries, fuel cells).
- Experience with FCC, CE, UL/ETL, and other regulatory requirements.
- Strong project management and communication skills, with experience working with contract manufacturers.
- **Design portfolio required**.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in the security or surveillance industry.
- Creo Parametric, Windchill
- Experience in Beckhoff Automation PLC Systems (Beckhoff TwinCat)
- Experience with Low-power consumption protocols like BLE and interface with RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical connectors and automotive standards.
- Programming experience in Linux, Python, C, and C++.
- Proficiency in Atlassian tools (Confluence & Jira), and statistical analysis software like JMP.
- Master’s degree in a related field or additional certifications.
