Lead Marketing & Enablement Designer
Location: Latin America
Work Mode: 100% Remote, every other Friday off
At Loka, the work we do has cut billions in food waste, helped children around the world learn to read, and supported everything from beer apps to cancer research. Since 2023 alone, we’ve helped launch more than 500 AI projects for bold startups and household brands. We’re the AWS Innovation Partner of the Year, and we’ve built an award-winning design and marketing engine that has helped move the services industry forward.
All of this, and we still enjoy every other Friday off of work (yes, really).
That’s the broad pitch. Now let’s talk about you.
I’m the CMO and I’m looking for a Design Lead who is exceptionally sharp in communication design, highly organized, and obsessive about clarity. This is a hands-on lead role. You’ll both create the work and raise the standard for how design decisions get made at Loka. You’ll partner closely with me at first, then increasingly take the reins within 6 months, owning more of the design direction, making decisions with confidence, and pushing the quality of the work beyond where it is today.
This is not a role for someone who wants to stay high level and just give direction. I’m looking for someone who loves doing the work. Someone who can think, make, refine, explain, and improve. Someone who knows there is no such thing as decoration for decoration’s sake. Every design decision should have a reason. Every asset should help communicate something more clearly, more effectively, and more persuasively.
About 75% of this role is focused on sales assets and high-impact communications. Think presentations, one-pagers, pitch materials, flyers, internal branding, brand guidelines, and other materials that help our team win. Brand work matters here too, but this is not a social-first design role. And to be direct: if you’re mostly looking to work on social media, this is not the role for you.
I’m looking for someone with sharp judgment, strong taste, and the communication skills to match. You explain your decisions. You give context. You ask smart questions. You help other people see what you see and you’re able to maintain high standards in an environment that moves quickly.
You should also be deeply curious about how design is evolving. You can talk clearly about how you’re using AI and agents to scale your work, where those tools create leverage, and where human judgment still matters most. We move fast at Loka, but we do it sustainably. We care about long-term growth in our team and business, not short-term burnout.
If you’re nodding along enthusiastically, I’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do
Sales Enablement & Communication Design
Lead the design of high-impact sales and marketing assets that help Loka communicate clearly and win more business
Collaborate with sales to create polished presentations, one-pagers, playbooks, flyers, social posts, blog designs and other communication materials that support business development and revenue efforts
Turn complex ideas into sharp, persuasive visual communication (this is services, not product)
Design materials that support both brand awareness and brand affinity, while staying grounded in what actually helps move work forward
Brand Systems & Creative Quality
Build, evolve, and refine visual systems that help Loka stay consistent while continuing to grow
Maintain and improve brand guidelines, templates, and reusable assets
Raise the bar for quality, clarity, and design judgment across everything the team produces
Ensure every design choice supports a communication goal, not just an aesthetic preference
Hands-On Leadership
Operate as a working lead, not just a reviewer or approver
Partner closely with the CMO in the beginning, then increasingly take ownership of decisions and direction within the first 6 months
Help make the work better, the decisions better, and the overall design function stronger
Bring strong creative point of view while staying collaborative, practical, and open
Collaboration, Organization & Execution
Work closely with marketing, sales, and cross-functional teams like engineering and HX to bring ideas to life
Manage multiple moving pieces without letting details slip
Keep files, workflows, timelines, and systems organized in a fast-moving environment
Communicate clearly and proactively with stakeholders across time zones
AI-Enabled Design Workflow
Use AI and agent-based tools thoughtfully to accelerate research, iteration, drafting, and workflow efficiency
Speak clearly about how you scale your work with tools like Claude or GPT, while understanding their limitations
Apply judgment about what should be automated, what should be assisted, and what still needs a human eye and brain
What You Bring
5+ years of experience in brand, communication, marketing, or enablement design
Exceptional visual design skills and strong design judgment
A deep understanding of communication design and how to make information clear, compelling, and memorable
Experience creating presentations, one-pagers, sales assets, and other business-critical materials
Experience in services, consulting, or client-service environments, not just product companies
Strong systems thinking and experience refining templates, guidelines, or repeatable design structures
Excellent verbal English communication skills
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple fast-moving priorities
Curiosity about AI-enabled workflows and good judgment about their limitations
Comfort working across teams and time zones with at least 4 hours of overlap with US West Coast
Tech Stack

Very nice to have:
