Experience that makes you a fit:

  • Timely and accurately executing complex invoices
  • Monthly preparation and finalizing of attorney client invoices
  • Monthly preparation of client accruals via email and ebilling site
  • Distributing invoices via BillBlast or designated e-billing platforms
  • Preparing complicated client account reconciliations as needed
  • Reviewing and accepting attorney pre-bill revisions
  • Applying funds and processing refunds as directed by attorney
  • Processing write-offs outside of the workflow in accordance with firm policy
  • Reviewing and verifying accuracy of billing and supporting documentation as required
  • Researching and responding to inquiries regarding billing issues and problems
  • Settingup and managing Outside Counsel Guidelines per client specifications         
  • Creating new billing formats as needed
  • Contributing to special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Must have at least five years of law firm billing experience
  • Must understand engagement letters and interpret matter-level rate structures
  • Must have e-billing experience and e-billing troubleshooting knowledge
  • Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with law firm personnel and clients
  • Must be able to show great attention to detail while handling a high volume of bills
  • Must be able to work effectively with a team while being able to work independently
  • Must have a high level of proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think independently and take ownership of projects as assigned
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Ability to professionally handle highly sensitive, confidential information

Salary and benefits:  The annual salary range for this position is $85,000 to $90,000. LP believes this is the pay range it will pay for this position at the time of posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be contingent on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant and the requirements of the position. LP offers generous compensation and benefits packages, including medical, dental and vision benefits, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
