Project Manager, Powertrain Development and Engineering
The Project Manager, Drive Unit Testing will be responsible for overseeing the scheduling and coordination of drive unit testing Lucid’s on-site Dynamometer Lab. Your role will involve working closely with test requestors, the Motor Gearbox Prototype Build team, and other cross-functional groups to ensure that all dependencies are tracked and managed. Using a Jira-based scheduling tool, you will play a critical role in managing the testing throughput, ensuring that tests are executed on time and that any delays or issues are promptly addressed.
Responsibilities:
· Manage the drive unit test schedule using a Jira-based scheduling tool.
· Liaise with test requestors to ensure test requests are up to date, properly formatted, and contain all necessary information before a Test is scheduled to begin.
· Track the status of test dependencies, including monitoring the progress of the Motor Gearbox Build team and addressing potential delays.
· Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure test readiness.
· Monitor and report on testing progress, updating relevant stakeholders regularly.
· Work with the testing and build teams to resolve blockers and ensure that test schedules remain on track.
· Identify and communicate any potential risks or delays in testing, providing solutions where possible.
Qualifications:
· 3+ years of project management experience, preferably in an automotive or engineering environment.
· Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, including scheduling and tracking.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially when managing complex test schedules.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical teams.
· Experience working with cross-functional teams, particularly in coordinating schedules and managing dependencies.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Familiarity with drive unit testing, dynamometers, or related testing environments.
· Experience in managing testing workflows, tracking dependencies, and resolving conflicts.
Preferred:
· Experience with electric vehicle drive systems or automotive testing is a strong plus.
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks.
· Proven ability to handle ambiguity and adapt to shifting priorities.
· Experience in any customer service type role.
Education:
· BS in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$123,200 - $169,400 USD
