Sr. Manager, Hardware Engineering
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Vehicle Systems Engineering, Vehicle Integration to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in creating the entire vehicle systems engineering process, leading its application to future products. This role is central to integrating features, attributes, and customer experiences into the vehicle architecture, defining the blueprint for our next-generation vehicles.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible and accountable for creating and implementing the entire Lucid Systems Engineering Master Plan, from concept to production, ensuring the seamless integration of features, attributes, and customer experiences into the vehicle architecture.
• Lead the Vehicle Systems Engineering team to develop and utilize the systems engineering processes on current and future Lucid products.
• Develop a culture of rigorous systems engineering at Lucid, winning the hearts and minds of everyone at Lucid who will benefit from systems engineering.
• Develop system-level architecture design, analysis, and optimization methodologies to enhance customer experiences while meeting performance, efficiency, and safety requirements.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including attribute owners, feature set owners, hardware engineers, and digital/SW engineers, to establish and implement the vehicle systems engineering process.
• Ensure that all requirements at Lucid are captured within the systems engineering process through all levels of the systems engineering V.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer preferences related to vehicle systems engineering to drive innovation and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Develop the resources and organizational structure within Lucid required for successful systems engineering execution
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field. Master's degree or PhD with systems engineering coursework preferred.
• Extensive experience (15+ years) in systems engineering
• Proven track record of successfully leading complex projects from concept to production, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Deep understanding of product architecture, system, subsystem, and component level integration.
• Proficiency in Model Based Systems Engineering tools such as CAMEO/Catia Magic
• Proficiency in using JAMA to document requirements and test results
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Proactive mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
Preferred:
• Experience with electric vehicles (EVs), hybrid vehicles, or autonomous vehicle technologies
• Understanding of vehicle architecture in both the hardware and software domain
• Experience creating and implementing a systems engineering process in a fast paced startup environment
• Experience creating and implementing systems engineering processes INCOSE SEP and OMG SysML certifications "

$188,100 - $275,880 USD
