Embedded Staff Software Engineer for Bluetooth Low Energy
Overview:
Lucid Motors is seeking a skilled and motivated Staff Embedded Software Engineer specializing in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to join our innovative team. The successful candidate will lead the implementation of BLE functions on the KW45 NXP chip, focusing on developing and enhancing our smart access control systems.
Responsibilities:
· Lead the development and implementation of BLE functions on the KW45 NXP chip.
· Design and develop software for smart access control systems in Lucid Vehicles.
· Ensure BLE communication adheres to Bluetooth-Low-Energy (BLE) protocol and CCC standards.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate BLE features into the overall system architecture.
· Debug and troubleshoot software issues related to BLE communication.
· Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
· Write and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test plans.
· Stay updated with the latest BLE technologies and industry trends.
· Potentially work on the implementation of Digital Key technologies if applicable.
· Perform board bring-up activities including hardware validation and debugging.
· Develop and integrate device drivers and firmware for embedded systems.
· Optimize system performance, power consumption, and memory usage.
· Implement and verify security features related to BLE communication and authentication.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
· Proven experience in embedded software development with a focus on BLE.
· In-depth knowledge of the Bluetooth-Low-Energy protocol and CCC standards.
· Expertise in BLE pairing and authentication mechanisms.
· Experience with the KW45 NXP chip or similar BLE-enabled hardware.
· Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages.
· Familiarity with FreeRTOS and embedded development environments.
· Strong understanding of the CAN protocol and its application in automotive systems.
· Experience with board bring-up, including hardware validation and debugging.
· Knowledge of device drivers and firmware development.
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
· Experience with Digital Key implementation is highly desirable.
· Understanding of UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services) and DoIP (Diagnostics over IP) is a plus.
· Understanding of smart access control systems is a plus.
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$163,700 - $240,020 USD
