
Director, Treasury Strategy & Operations
Lucid is seeking a Director of Treasury Strategy and Operations reporting directly to the Global Treasurer and Head of Financial Services. This is a high-impact, strategic role within Lucid’s Treasury organization, offering frequent interaction with the Treasurer, CFO, SVP of Finance and cross-functional teams across the company.
You will lead and manage critical strategic Treasury functions, including Treasury Operations, Liquidity Management, Investment Management, Currency and Risk Management, Intercompany Funding, Policies and Governance and Digital Transformation.
As a strong people leader, you will manage three direct reports, fostering collaboration and performance within a diverse team.
We are looking for a strategic thinker and strong people leader with deep analytical skills, financial acumen, process orientation, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a proven track record of synthesizing and simplifying complex issues.
The Role:
- Treasury Operations: Lead global treasury operations including cash positioning, forecasting, and bank account administration across multiple entities and multiple bank accounts, with a focus on building a scalable structure that will provide flexibility as the company continues to grow.
- Liquidity Management and Funding: Optimize liquidity and working capital through efficient cash deployment, intercompany structures, and a blend of equity and debt funding. Partner with Tax, Legal and Accounting to support the growth of the business.
- Investment Management: Monitor and report on short-term investment positions, flows, and cash balances. Oversee and improve fixed-income SMA (Separately Managed Accounts) investments, focusing on balancing appropriate credit risk with yield and liquidity.
- Currency and Risk Management: Monitor and mitigate existing and emerging risks such as market risk, liquidity risk, credit risk, and counterparty risk. Build models for financial instrument valuation and risk optimization. Advise on quantitative risk and exposure management strategies.
- Policies and Governance: Own and evolve Treasury policies, processes and controls. Lead internal goal setting and benchmark against best-in-class organizations. Monitor KPI performance and ensure the Treasury department meets the assigned limits and guidelines.
- Treasury Digital Transformation: Evaluate and drive the implementation of a Treasury Management System (TMS), focusing on automation, integration and long-term scalability.
- Supporting Capital Markets: Partner with the Capital Markets team on funding strategy, bank relationship management, debt compliance, and share-of-wallet allocation.
- Cross-Functional Support: Act as a key partner to FP&A, Accounting, Tax, and Legal, supporting recurring and ad hoc deliverables.
The Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, or Economics; MBA or CFA preferred
- 12+ years of progressive experience in Corporate Treasury, Corporate Finance and/or Investment Banking
- Demonstrated leadership in Treasury functions in a global, complex and fast-paced environment and strong ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams and develop strong working relationships across all levels of the company
- Significant commitment to mentoring people and passion for continuous improvement across processes and systems
- Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills
- Hands-on experience implementing and optimizing Treasury Management Systems (TMS) platforms
- Significant expertise in cash and investment portfolios, global banking relationships and developing FX hedging strategies.
- Excellent financial analysis and valuation skills
- Strong knowledge and proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg, Clearwater and enterprise TMS solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy and accountability for results
- Experience in Technology, Automotive, or Transportation sectors is preferred
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$196,000 - $287,430 USD
