WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Located at our Entry Door Division, the person in this position would lead our team and oversee production scheduling of Entry Doors. This position offers the opportunity to develop personally as well as train and develop others.  Specifically, the responsibilities for this position include: 

  • Develops, manages, and proactively maintains production schedules for entry door production  
  • Coordinates flow of materials between departments 
  • Assesses and establishes capacities of work cells through continuous review of set up times, routings and run-rate by working with department Supervisors 
  • Coordinates work and shipment schedules 
  • Confers with department leaders to determine potential issues or shipping timeframe changes 
  • Proactively solves problems and enables and empowers team to do the same 
  • Analyzes and prepares documents for production 
  • Interacts with shop floor leadership daily and resolve shop floor issues as needed 
  • Completes status reports for production progress and work-in-process

KEY QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field or commensurate experience preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment 
  • 1-3 years’ experience in production planning strongly desired 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication  
  • Ability to handle tasks with a sense of responsibility and urgency
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and possess strong time-management skills
  • An affinity for working with numbers 
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Intermediate or above proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of Agility software a plus
