POSITION SUMMARY
Located at our Grand Rapids, MI location, the person in this position would be responsible to operate a press machine to produce metal rail sections as well as picking components, packaging and preparing orders for shipments. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Accurately pulling order components
- Preparation, startup, running, and cleaning of machinery
- Loading material into machines and operating press
- Verifying counts to ensure order accuracy
- Packaging of finished material
- Securing and labeling products for delivery
- Using fork trucks to transfer picked orders to staging area for delivery per the delivery schedule
- Loading outbound trucks
- Producing product samples
- Cleaning and maintenance of warehouse
- Performing other tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor

This position offers a $250 annual clothing allowance to offset costs for work apparel, protective footwear, and PPE.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma/GED required
- Prior warehouse experience is preferred
- Construction background a plus
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Strong communication skills
- Safe working practices
- Natural detail-orientation
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to accurately pull orders and load/unload trucks
- Able to consistently meet production deadlines
- Knowledge and ability to operate all the tools listed above
- Ability to read blueprints/sketches and design in the absence of these resources
- Knowledge of shop mathematics including fractions and decimals
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to do physical labor including lifting of up to 75lbs
- Ability to bend, twist, and stoop
- Ability to work on feet for 8-10 hours per day
