About The Position

One of our operating companies, Secom Technology, is looking for a Technical Account Manager to support their team in Kingsgrove, Sydney.

As Technical Account Manager, you will serve as the trusted technical advisor for venues such as licensed clubs, hospitality groups and golf courses, ensuring their IT environments are secure, reliable, and fully aligned with operational needs. You will collaborate closely with the Service Delivery Manager, Projects team, and Service Desk to drive results, while focusing on strategic planning, relationship management, and overall ownership of client outcomes.

This is not a ticket-based role - it’s suited to a senior engineer or consultant who wants to step into a more strategic, client-facing position while still leveraging their technical expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients across hospitality, registered clubs, and golf clubs.
  • Conduct Technology Business Reviews (TBRs) and lead client strategy sessions.
  • Develop and maintain technology roadmaps and lifecycle plans.
  • Assess client environments for performance, security, risk, and improvement opportunities.
  • Drive proactive initiatives, including network upgrades, Wi-Fi optimization, security enhancements, and infrastructure modernization.
  • Ensure systems supporting POS, guest Wi-Fi, security, telephony, and back-of-house operations are fully optimized.
  • Collaborate with Service Desk and Projects teams to deliver projects successfully.
  • Provide clear, business-aligned reporting, insights, and recommendations.

Skills required

  • 5+ years in IT, including 3+ years within an MSP environment.
  • Background as a Senior Engineer (L3), Solutions Engineer, or Technical Consultant.

Technical experience across:

  • Microsoft 365 / Azure
  • Networking (firewalls, switches, VPNs, Wi-Fi)
  • Infrastructure and virtualization
  • Cybersecurity and backup best practices
  • Telephony systems (3CX)
  • Proven ability to work directly with clients in a technical advisory role.
  • Skilled at translating technical concepts into clear business outcomes.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience supporting hospitality, registered clubs, or golf course environments.
  • Familiarity with venue-based systems (POS, gaming systems, guest Wi-Fi, CCTV, access control).
  • Experience delivering vCIO / TAM services or leading client strategy sessions.
  • Knowledge of compliance or regulatory requirements in licensed venues.
