Electronics Technician 3

M9 Solutions is seeking an Electronics Technician 3 to work onsite in support of a government contract for a client located in Chantilly, VA. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.
Responsibilities
- Performs on-site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment and systems.
- Conducts site surveys, configures hardware and software, tests systems for proper operation, and provides technical support to the client.
- Utilizes and comprehends the project Safety plan (JHA, AHA, PFW), enforcing the client's handbook and policies.
- Participates in quality reviews of the client design documentation, analyzing and interpreting drawing packages to evaluate constructability.
- Tracks project metrics and participates in weekly resource allocation meetings.
- Executes installation and maintenance activities within planned durations, ensuring completion of detailed documentation.
- Tracks and inventories tools, conducts tool inspections, and organizes material ordering and receiving.
- Conducts daily ORM meetings, ensures team compliance with safety requirements, and completes accident/incident reporting.
- Participates in PITCO plan creation and build-out, executing the PITCO plan to ensure high-quality testing and installation.
- Installs system raceway, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, and panels, adhering to industry standards.
- Terminates, tests, and configures electronic devices, network and IT equipment.
- Manages base switch configurations, participates in the configuration of servers and workstations, and troubleshoots programmable components.
- Ensures compliance with established QC plans and checklists, conducting quality control inspections and documenting findings.
- Installs and maintains field devices, terminates and tests system components, and troubleshoots copper and fiber optic issues.
- Leads commissioning efforts, tracks commissioning activities, and assists in representing the client in meetings with owners and design teams.
- Communicates consistently with the client's project teams, other trades, and customers, demonstrating dedication and collaboration.
- Leads by example, provides constructive feedback, mentors crew members, and encourages strategic thinking and innovation.
- Demonstrates strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills, aligning with the client's vision, mission, and values.
- Provides a look ahead for assignment of manpower, material procurement/staging, and resource planning.

- 50% Travel.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Education
- HS diploma or GED, Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours), or
- Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program, or
- Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program
- An additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities.
- 6+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple client programs.
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
- Must possess strong problem-solving skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills are a plus.
- Requires a Valid driver's license. This position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle. Candidates must possess an acceptable driving record in accordance with the client's policy.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems: CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom Systems, FFT, DIVAR, Windows operating systems & certifications, and experience in installation of said systems.
- 3 years of experience focused on electronic security systems.
- OSHA 30 certification.

- M9 Solutions’ pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include, but are not limited to, responsibilities of the position, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as internal equity, location, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

Salary Range
$60,000 - $180,000 USD
