EMEA Finance Manager

As a key member of the global Accounting & Finance team, the EMEA Finance Manager directly oversees the monthly close of the general ledger, and supports the preparation of local and consolidated financial statements and related supporting documentation.
The main responsibilities and requirements of the EMEA Finance Manager are listed below:
In this role you will:
- Key contributor to the month-end close
- Ensures GL accounts are properly supported and reconciled monthly
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly KPI tracking, reporting and analytics related to key financial measures
- Co-ordinates preparation of standalone financial statements, including any required elimination entries for US GAAP consolidated reporting and the related external audits of foreign subsidiaries
- Maintain the mapping of the local subsidiary chart of accounts to the global consolidation chart of accounts
- Ensure that records on all company transactions and assets are kept and accurately reported
- Propose and implement system or workflow enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy of reporting
- Manage compliance with all federal, state / provincial, and local corporate taxes and regulations, including income tax, VAT, etc.
- Be an effective business partner for the business functions of the Company’s EMEA subsidiaries and the Corporate finance and accounting group in the United States
- Direct activities of team members or external partners, monitor deadlines and provide support and coaching where necessary
- Be a subject matter expert as it relates to specialized accounting topics
What we look for:
- Proven and demonstrable experience of financial accounting in a corporate environment
- Experience in a leadership role with the ability to influence stakeholders of all levels
- Bachelor of accounting, finance or related field. CPA preferred, or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of accounting for foreign currencies and intercompany eliminations
- Ability to research questions related to taxation and financial reporting in multiple jurisdictions
- MS Office Suite user, particularly Excel (formulas, functions, macros, queries, pivot tables)
- SAGE X3 experience a plus
- Familiarity with how to achieve multi-gaap reporting in a single ERP
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able / comfortable communicating across the organization
- Strong attention to detail, well-organized, solution-oriented
- Comfortable working against deadlines
