Strategy Internship - Winter/Spring 2025
MATTE is a 360° full-service creative studio at the convergence of hype, storytelling and design. Our studio capabilities range from strategic ideation and insights, creative development, branding and identity, experiential, web design and development, campaigns and content creation, all the way through full-scale production and execution.
DESCRIPTION:
We're seeking a highly motivated Strategy Intern for Winter/Spring 2025 to support our diverse range of creative projects. As part of the strategy team, you will play a key role in the development and execution of impactful brand strategies, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, innovative environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for research, creative problem-solving, and a strong interest in fashion, luxury, and lifestyle sectors.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND LEARNINGS:
- Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, competitor landscapes, and cultural shifts, transforming insights into strategic recommendations for client projects
- Analyze brand ecosystems to identify opportunities and challenges, creating comprehensive brand and character snapshots that inform creative and strategic direction
- Support the development of brand, content, experiential, and talent strategies, contributing to creative ideation and execution for high-profile campaigns and initiatives
- Assist in the formulation of creative strategies by synthesizing research findings, consumer behaviors, and cultural trends, helping to drive innovative approaches to brand storytelling
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including creative, production, and talent departments to ensure strategic alignment across all project phases
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and client meetings, providing input on strategic concepts and helping to refine deliverables
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be enrolled in a University or Master’s program.
- Must be available for a minimum of 12 hours per week, and a maximum of 16 hours per week.
- Must be available between January 22nd and May 15th. Internships begin January 22nd, 2025.
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Great understanding of current cultural trends
- Great understanding of current tastemakers across cultural categories
- Passion and curiosity for learning new skills
- Strong self-starter mentality
- Good presentation skills
- Loves collaborating with others
COMPENSATION:
This internship is unpaid. School credit can be provided.
