Job Summary
May Mobility is entering an exciting phase of growth and our team is expanding quickly. We are looking for a highly-motivated Director of Recruiting with a proven track record of delivering an organization’s hiring strategy, while leading a team of high-performing recruiters, sourcers, and coordinators. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented and dedicated to delivering a world-class candidate experience. This role serves as a strategic recruiting partner to the entire organization and is responsible for all recruiting operations. The Director of Recruiting will report to the Chief People Officer. The right person thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings a strong point of view on recruiting best practices, and knows how to tell a compelling story to top talent.
Essential Responsibilities
- Build and execute May Mobility’s talent acquisition strategy, requisition prioritization, and resource allocation to achieve company hiring goals
- Partner closely with the executive team, people leads team, hiring managers, and other key stakeholders to proactively understand staffing needs across all functions; while leading and mentoring a results-oriented recruiting team
- Engage and develop recruiting team members, utilizing their unique skills and diverse interests
- Drive excellence and scalability in all recruiting processes -- from how we source and engage diverse candidates to how we communicate May’s total rewards philosophy (in partnership with the Director of Compensation)
- Audit and manage recruiting systems & tools to maximize workflow efficiency, while enhancing the candidate and internal stakeholder experience
- Own all recruiting data, metrics, and reporting -- including dashboards, pipeline models, and other compelling insights
- Utilize subject matter expertise to recommend job and/or leveling modifications (i.e., identifying emerging or in-demand roles) to ensure we maintain a competitive advantage with our recruiting efforts
- Leverage industry knowledge and external benchmarking to develop employer brand and attraction strategies that can be deployed worldwide
- Contribute to the evolution of our employer value proposition and how we communicate and market our employer brand to candidates
- Ensure all talent acquisition processes are inclusive, while also meeting global compliance requirements
- Develop innovative sourcing strategies for high-priority leadership, G&A, and technical roles
- Partner on the implementation of the managed service providers and streamline the use of their temporary or contingent hiring services
- Lead and track projects across multiple cross-functional teams
- Own companywide recruiting budget, and ensure maximum ROI for any/all recruiting spend
- Ensure recruiting activities are in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations

Qualifications and Experience
Candidates most successful in this role typically hold the following qualifications or comparable knowledge or experience:
Required Qualifications:
- 9+ years of successful high-volume talent acquisition experience, preferably in-house and within a high-growth environment
- 7+ years of experience leading, developing, and mentoring a team of recruiters/sourcers/coordinators; with a proven track record of creating inclusive teams that grow and thrive
- Experience establishing/optimizing recruiting processes in-house
- Demonstrated ability to hire diverse talent across Engineering, Product, Operations, and G&A in highly competitive markets
- ATS expert (preferably Greenhouse)
- Strong relationship building skills with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels; ability to be a trusted advisor to stakeholders on matters related to recruiting operations
- Detail-oriented project management skills, with the ability to multi-task and stay focused in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
- Strong sense of responsibility and urgency to accomplish next week’s goals, today
- Experience translating data and analytics to develop insights, drive decisions, and measure impact
- Ability to articulate vision into executable strategy and delivering against the plan, while continually improving recruiting processes
- Analytically driven, able to break down problems and deliver tangible solutions
- Strong team player who emphasizes team success over individual success
- Experience partnering with internal communications or employer branding teams to shape talent narratives
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, or equivalent experience
Desirable Qualifications:
- Engineering or technical background
- Coming in the door with a strong existing network/rolodex of top talent
- Experience in the AV/EV/mobility industry and/or technology & software space
- Google Suite power user
- Experience using Pequity (or similar Compensation Management Platform)

Travel required? - Minimal: 1%-10%
Salary Range posted covers a variety of different Geographical pay bands.
Salary Range
$144,000 - $248,000 USD
