We are a collaborative mid-sized agency with an immediate opportunity for an Account Director to join our growing Corporate team.

This Account Director team lead will help run critical pieces of business on our Corporate team (a leading financial services brand and a leading operator of federally funded research and development centers), managing account team members and serving as a day-to-day client counselor. You’ll oversee the success of all client programming, manage complex projects, lead and inspire team members and have the opportunity to work with the agency’s creative and research specialists.

Location: NYC/Hybrid Preferred (Located in the NYC HUB with Be IRL 2 Days/Week) or tri-state area

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as a strategic voice, lead project manager and day-to-day account contact for 2-3 clients
  • Drive media relations programs, from strategic oversight to helping the team to brainstorm new angles to conducting press outreach; also drive executive of integrated campaigns (including broader PR strategies) 
  • Maintain strong media connections or be willing to build new ones as needed
  • Assist in crafting media materials (media strategies, press releases, pitches, etc.) 
  • Serve as a liaison with M Booth specialist teams, including research and creative, to meet client’s strategic goals 
  • Lead client calls and internal meetings, serving as a strategic, dynamic, and trusted partner to the client
  • Responsible for team deliverables and all client communication (emails, Slacks, etc.) 
  • Help oversee junior team members’ work across accounts, providing guidance, actionable feedback, and real-time coaching to help shape their current and future roles 
  • Help review and propose project budgets while starting to learn the finance process across accounts
  • Support account KPI measurement and reporting processes 
  • Skilled at written and verbal communications
  • Be a problem solver for the team
  • From time to time as needed, help participate in new business activities
  • Be a voracious consumer of media and culture with the ability to bring fresh thinking to client work

 What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7+ years of experience working in-house or at an agency 
  • Experience managing a team of direct reports and/or mentoring junior talent
  • Strong project management background
  • Experience managing cross-functional resources, such as specialists in paid media, design, creative, research, and more.
  • Multi-channel marketing expertise, deeply rooted in earned media, and campaign development experience
  • Media savviness including corporate storytelling and how to tell business stories to trade and top-tier media  
  • Experience in managing & working with third party vendors, partners & networks
  • A solution-oriented and collaborative approach to all work, alongside an entrepreneurial and self- starter mindset 
  • Aptitude and ability to juggle client priorities and deliverables
  • Excellent client relationship management with the ability to proactively anticipate client needs

Our Flexible Work Policy: 

We believe that our best work happens in a hybrid working environment. If you are in the NYC (or commutable surrounding distance) hub we want to see you in person 2 days a week. That could mean in our office, in our client's office, on the road with them or attending an industry event. 

For those outside the NYC hub, you will be asked to be in person too. Examples of this may include client meetings, events or team meetings. There will also be in person opportunities for you to connect with others who live in your hub to collaborate and work together.
