Position Overview

M Booth is looking for a social-first, conceptual Senior Creative Copywriter to join our dedicated Creative Team supporting the Google account.

This is a role for a writer's writer—a pure creative who lives for the craft of words, voice, and narrative rhythm. Housed within our Creative Department alongside art directors, designers, and animators, this role is focused on pure, human-centric storytelling. We want a copywriter who thrives on partnering with an art director to unearth cultural insights and translate them into organic, platform-native scripts that make a viewer stop, laugh, or learn. This is a role for an active maker and visual storyteller who crafts distinct, nuanced brand narratives.

In this role, you will be the editorial voice across our clients. You will concept, write, and execute social-first content across platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, and LinkedIn), translate complex brand strategies into native platform dialogue, and brainstorm bold social campaigns.

At M Booth, our copywriters on the Creative Team are makers and conceptors. You will work side-by-side with art directors and motion animators to design visual-first stories. If your passion is writing copy that shapes culture and directing the creative vision of social video, this is your team.

Responsibilities

  • Social-First Video Scriptwriting: Concept and write visual, high-retention video scripts for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts. You understand how to write for the ear—crafting voiceover dialogue, text-on-screen hooks, pacing, and visual cues that creator or influencer talent can easily bring to life.
  • Tone & Voice Strategy: Effortlessly pivot brand voices to fit existing strategies. You can write in a highly sophisticated, polished tone one hour, and transition into scrappy, native, community-led banter the next.
  • Creative Brainstorming & Ideation: Partner with art directors, strategists, and creative directors.
  • Caption & Editorial Writing: Write scroll-stopping headlines, highly engaging organic social scripts, and reactive brand comments that drive cultural relevance.
  • Cultural Insight Integration: Actively mine social feeds for emerging trends, platform behaviors, and cultural insights, translating them into immediate, timely creative opportunities.
  • Creative Presentation: Confidently present and pitch your copy, scripts, and conceptual ideas to internal teams and senior clients, defending creative decisions with strategic rationale.
  • Collaborative Concepting: Act as an active, vocal partner in a collaborative pod of designers, video editors, strategists and art directors, taking feedback gracefully and constantly pushing the creative envelope.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5-7 years of creative copywriting experience in a creative agency, social-first publisher, or brand-side creative team.
  • A strong, diverse portfolio showcasing bold social media campaigns, platform-native video scripts (with links to final produced assets), and smart conceptual thinking.
  • An innate understanding of social video pacing. You know how vertical video hook structures work and how to write natural, unscripted-sounding dialogue for creators and influencers.
  • Fluency across modern social platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Meta, and X, with an intuitive grasp of their distinct formatting and community behaviors.
  • Exceptional time-management skills, with the ability to self-start, meet tight rapid-response deadlines, and prioritize deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for human-centric writing. While you have a working knowledge of AI tools, you believe that true visual storytelling, emotional hooks, and nuanced brand voices require human empathy, wit, and craft.

What We’ll Bring:

Here are a few highlights of the benefits we offer at M Booth:

  • A workplace that’s alive with courage, ideas, respect and humanity
  • Professional growth and development programs to help advance your career
  • Comprehensive health care and wellness plans for your entire family
  • A 401(k) Savings Plan and Flexible Spending Accounts
  • Paid holidays, Unlimited Paid Time Off (Personal, Sick, Vacation), and Summer Fridays
  • Additional Perks: Family Leave, Well-Being Programs, and Commuter Benefits
  • SALARY: $80,000 - $110,000

(New hires are typically brought into the organization between the minimum to midpoint of the salary range posted depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.)

Location: New York office

Our Flexible Work Policy:

We believe that our best work happens in a hybrid working environment. If you are in the NYC (or commutable surrounding distance) hub we want to see you in person 2 days a week. That could mean in our office, in our client's office, on the road with them or attending an industry event.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
