Director of Marketing

Location: Hybrid in New York City  (3 day in-office requirement)

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of B2B or B2B2C Marketing experience, Product Marketing, Brand Marketing, Content Marketing or relevant field. 
  • 5+ years in the financial technology, or payments industry and experience working in a growing product-led organization is a must.
  • Demonstrated success in building, developing, and delivering creative and measurable marketing strategies that drive product features, and new customer segments.
  • Proven experience working with multiple business stakeholders and driving consensus and buy-in across diverse functions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of forging and maintaining professional, positive relationships with internal stakeholders and teams.
  • Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, ability to thrive in a fast-paced and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in effectively managing marketing budget and time, and ensuring maximum return on investment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and mentor teams, ensuring the achievement of business goals and individual development.

Bonus points:

  • Experience working with SMBs or Accounting Firms or Accountants.
  • Experience in SaaS (Software as a Service) marketing

A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:

  • Develop and execute Melio's overarching marketing strategy, ensuring market differentiation and overseeing end-to-end feature launches. Lead large creative marketing campaigns and help craft the Melio brand identity.
  • Own customer research and market trend analysis to identify strategic marketing opportunities. Translate insights into actionable strategies and key deliverables.
  • Partner with GTM/Sales, Business Development, and customer-facing teams to create enablement assets and identify marketing opportunities. Oversee the development of comprehensive playbooks and collateral for Marketing and Sales teams.
  • Lead and direct a global team of marketing and creative professionals, fostering innovation and driving successful execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Performance Marketing team to ensure alignment between strategic marketing efforts and performance metrics. Continuously refine strategies based on data-driven insights to maximize ROI and drive business growth.

About the team:

As the Director of Marketing, you will be joining our Marketing team at Melio, where you will play a pivotal role in developing and driving Melio’s overarching marketing strategy, including market differentiation, and overseeing a wide range of creative and strategic marketing campaigns to craft Melio’s brand. You will join a global Marketing team and take part in our team’s mission to drive growth and ultimately contribute to Melio’s success.
