Head of DevOps

We’re looking for an impact-driven, experienced Head Of DevOps

As a Head of DevOps, you will be leading a team of experienced DevOps engineers in a serverless environment. This is a unique position where the DevOps focus mostly on tools and automations to help the software engineers take control of their code from their IDE to production by themselves. 

Our DevOps work is mostly on Platform Engineering tools, and our goal is to make almost all day-day DevOps requests a self-serve actions, to keep everything smooth and safe by automating it all

This position requires an experienced team leader that achieved success in their previous roles as a Leading DevOps manager, that wants to add a deeper challenge, focusing on the cool stuff only

Qualifications: 

• +5 years as DevOps Engineer/SRE
• +3 years as DevOps/SRE/Platform Engineering manager
• Extensive knowledge of AWS
• Good understanding and experience working with IAC (Infrastructure as Code) systems (Terraform/Cloudformation is an advantage)
• Experience with CI/CD best practices (CirclcCI/Jenkins/GithubActions)
• Working with version control systems (Git, GitHub)
• Experience with Database management (MySQL, MongoDB (Atlas), DynamoDB)
• Experience configuring and automating monitoring tools (DataDog preferred)
• Security, Quality, and compliance knowledge

Bonus Points: 

• Experience with serverless architecture
• Experience with FinOps tools, Budget planning and cost monitoring
• Experience with Service catalog/ Developer portal (Backstage, Port, Cortex) 
• Experience in managing managers

A day in the life and how you'll make an impact:

• Lead a large and growing team of DevOps Engineers
• Work closely with 200+ Engineers at Melio
• Design and deploy scalable, secured, and highly available cloud infrastructure using AWS services
• Continuous improvement of CI/CD processes of the company
• Improve the development cycle and Development Experience (DevX)
• People mentor, and recruit the best DevOps out there
• Provide DevOps solutions to complex architecture challenges
• Empower engineers to be as independent as possible in the serverless world, while also aligning their standards and utilizing the same infrastructure
• Collaborate with development, security, IT, and other technical teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and applications
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in the industry
