As our SVP, Deal Desk, you will…
MERGE is seeking a forward-thinking and experienced SVP, Deal Desk, to join our Commercial Operations group. This is a foundational role designed for a leader with a growth mindset, an innate curiosity, and a passion for building and evolving strategic business frameworks. By combining innovative insight with operational discipline, the SVP, Deal Desk will be responsible for promoting MERGE’s financial well-being while helping further our commercial maturity and market competitiveness.
Be Accountable and Responsible
- Drive long-term commercial growth by influencing and implementing practices that modernize MERGE’s approach to contracting and pricing.
- Analyze and monitor pricing strategies and cost structures across competitors to ensure market alignment of MERGE's service offerings.
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date library of contracting templates, ensuring seamless integration into the sales process. Proactively updating as business needs evolve.
- Review, evaluate, and negotiate key contract documents, including Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Marketing Service Agreements (MSAs), and Business Associate Agreements (BAAs), as they move through the sales process.
- Serving as the primary point of contact to COO, Finance and outside legal counsel as needed in the sales and contracting process.
- Partner with key internal stakeholders to craft and optimize pricing proposals, balancing client expectations with revenue goals and economic viability.
- Develop and implement pricing strategies for new, innovative products and services entering the market, ensuring offerings are competitive and profitable.
- Act as an advisor to sales teams, ensuring proposals are strategic, competitive, and aligned with broader company objectives.
These are the qualifications we’re looking for:
- 15+ years of Deal Desk, Commercial Operations, or financial leadership experience within a service-oriented organization.
- Demonstrated success in contract negotiation, pricing strategy formulation, and financial modeling.
- Deep understanding of legal frameworks and commercial risk management principles critical to business contracts.
- Advanced proficiency in using financial analysis tools to develop actionable insights.
- Exceptional ability to communicate, persuade, and manage relationships across diverse teams, including C-level executives.
- Adeptness in thriving within a fast-paced, dynamic environment and delivering measurable results.

The salary range for this role is $154,500 - 197,700, based on the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
