Ethan Yuanming Hu serves as the founder and CEO. Ethan got his Ph.D. in graphics and AI from MIT, where he developed the Taichi GPU programming language (27K stars on GitHub, used by 300+ institutes). His Ph.D. thesis got a honorable mention of SIGGRAPH 2022 Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award and his research has been cited over 2700 times. His favorite animal is the llama.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and maintain Meshy’s growth model, defining the core drivers, metrics, and system for scalable user growth.
- Break down high-level growth goals into actionable strategies across activation, conversion, retention, and reactivation.
- Plan and lead growth experiments (e.g. A/B testing), coordinating cross-functional teams to validate key hypotheses.
- Identify, test, and scale effective acquisition channels (e.g. SEO, referral systems, AI community partnerships).
- Drive product-led growth mechanisms such as invites, incentives, lifecycle emails, and push automation.
- Analyze funnel metrics and behavioral data to generate actionable insights and identify bottlenecks.
- Build and lead a growth team, and develop a repeatable, data-informed growth methodology.
What We’re Looking For:

5+ years of experience in growth, product-led growth, or a related field.

Deep expertise in at least two of the following: growth modeling, experimentation, and acquisition strategy.

Strong understanding of PLG (product-led growth) principles; data-driven with solid intuition for user behavior.

Proven track record of driving user growth from 1 → 10 (not just optimization, but step-change impact).

Excellent cross-functional communication skills and ability to align product, design, and engineering toward growth goals.

Bonus: experience with SaaS, creative tools, or AI-driven products.
