About the role:
The Project Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Project Managers plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way. This is all done within the confines of a company's goals and vision.
Duties and responsibilities of the job include the following (but is not limited too):
- Meet with project sponsor to understand project requirements.
- Lead projects from requirements definition through deployments, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans including risk mitigation.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule and budget.
- Coordinate stakeholder meetings, system demonstrations and training sessions.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources including vendors.
- Update and maintain all project documentation in the Project Management tracking tool including business requirements, project plan, issues log, UAT/SIT signoffs and lessons learned.
- Provide visibility to management on current company projects, resource constraints and budget exceptions.
- Participate in various management and committee meetings including project prioritization, IT Steering Committee, Operation Risk Committee, etc.
- Must understand Software Development/Project Lifecycle.
Preferred experience, education, and qualifications:
- 5-8 years of project management and related experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
- Experience with banking solutions and applications integrated with banking solutions such as branch/teller, transaction processing, loans, cash management, etc.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and implementation skills
Potential Salary: 150,000- $160,000 annually
This salary range only reflects base wages and does not include benefits, bonus, or incentive pay. Salary bands are purposefully wide ranging to encompass the different factors considered in determining where a candidate falls in the range, including but not limited to, seniority, performance, experience, education, and any other legitimate, non-discriminatory factor permitted by law.
