As an early member of the team, there will be significant opportunity, responsibility, and ownership upside. This role will be hybrid local/remote, with travel expectations to be determined as part of the hiring process and in relation to our HQ in Denver, CO with a preference for ability to be in or relocate to Denver or San Francisco Bay Area.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical product vision by identifying new opportunities, and driving new strategies and roadmaps that align with the broader organizational goals.
- Determine and measure key drivers for MGT’s business model by working hand-in-hand with our insurance business leads.
- Conduct discovery sessions with cross-functional stakeholders to identify key pain points and ideate, develop, and manage the solutions needed to address the challenges.
- Have the technical chops to transform business requirements to technical guidance, partnering closely with engineering teams to define a vision for core platform capabilities, considering industry and technology trends.
- Own key metrics (KPIs) of the platform’s adoption and performance, and work to develop a measurement feedback loop into the roadmap to continuously improve.
- Influence key stakeholders throughout MGT to align intent, team capacity, and prioritization across the most important business priorities.
- Oversee the product lifecycle of MGT’s technology platform and its integrated systems like insurance policy administration, CRM, and ticketing and technical support systems to deliver best in class customer service.
- Identify emerging technologies that can improve MGT’s service stack and develop plans to integrate them.
- Title to be determined based on experience and scope of role.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience working in product management or equivalent roles at top tier tech companies.
- BA/BS degree required.
- Developed a clear vision of what your product should be in 12-18 months from now and communicate and deliver on the steps to get there.
- Operated in a lean environment with an ability to be scrappy. Gather your own data and research. Build prototypes that help others see your vision for what is possible.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working directly with business teams to define metrics, analyze problems, and propose solutions.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects without authority and leading them through to successful execution.
- Current US Residents only.
Nice to Have
- Insurance or financial services background.
- Owned the product lifecycle of an API or an LLM-powered product.
- Exposure to and passion for early-stage startups and/or high-growth environments.
- For exceptional candidates with 5+ years of full-stack data scientist experience leading projects, we consider direct product management experience as optional.
