Software Deployment Specialist

Join Minitab, a global leader in data analysis and process improvement, as a Software Deployment Specialist — and play a key role in delivering world-class implementations of our Minitab Connect and SPC (Statistical Process Control) products. This is a hybrid role, based in Tokyo, Japan.
What You’ll Do
As a Software Deployment Specialist, you’ll lead the deployment, configuration, and successful adoption of Minitab’s Connect and SPC products for customers across industries. You’ll combine your technical expertise with your customer focus to ensure seamless implementations and lasting value.
Your responsibilities will include:
Service Delivery

Configure, test, and document Minitab Connect and SPC deployments, ensuring accuracy, quality, and successful customer adoption.

Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to deliver on customer goals.

Create and maintain detailed records of deployments, progress updates, and project plans.

Develop and enhance connectors and integrations to meet evolving customer needs.
Education & Training

Deliver engaging training sessions for customers and employees to drive effective product use.

Mentor new team members and contribute to onboarding materials and internal learning resources.

Represent Minitab at customer sites and industry events to support discovery and strengthen relationships.
Customer Support & Continuous Improvement

Act as an escalation point for complex support cases and ensure timely issue resolution.

Identify process improvements and recurring issues to enhance future deployments.

Collaborate with Support, Product, and Engineering teams to drive enhancements and ensure product reliability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to align deployment efforts with business objectives.

Share customer insights to influence product roadmaps and service improvements.

Contribute to departmental projects focused on operational excellence and customer success.
What We’re Looking For

Fluent in Japanese speaking, writing and listening and professional level English language skills also.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).

Minimum of 1 year of experience in software implementation, SaaS deployment, or Professional Services, ideally with integration platforms.

Strong technical writing and documentation skills.

Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., MySQL, JavaScript, PHP) and familiarity with APIs.

Knowledge of server systems, networking, and enterprise application support.

Excellent communication skills and a strong customer-first mindset.

Willingness to travel occasionally for customer support, training, and events.
