Data Analyst Intern

Our Data Analyst team manages customer data and insights at Mirakl, and serves as the primary point of contact for anyone needing to understand our customers, products, and the company as a whole. We are building a world-class department, enabling the entire company to easily discover, explore, and report on internal data to make data-driven decisions.

You will be based in our offices in Paris. This internship is available starting January 2025 for a period of 6 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Modeling: Develop and maintain robust data models to support reporting, forecasting, and other strategic initiatives for internal and external users.
  • Data Transformation and Documentation: contribute to and develop the data pipelines and documentation that form the basis of the “semantic layer” of our reporting.
  • Forecasting & Predictive Analytics: Leverage statistical techniques and machine learning to forecast trends and provide proactive, actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Intelligence, Data Science, and IT to ensure alignment on data needs and deliver high-quality results.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of your work data and reports by conducting thorough validation and testing.

Your profile:

  • You are looking for an internship starting in January 2025 for 6 months.
  • You are doing a Masters degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Fluent in French and English.
  • Proficient in SQL and python.
  • Experience with the manipulation and transformation of very large data sets.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques (e.g. star schemas, normalisation etc.).
  • Experience with forecasting and statistical analysis techniques; knowledge of machine learning models is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
