About the Role:
The Senior Director of LCM & Retention Marketing is a strategic leader responsible for driving growth and ensuring customer loyalty by integrating retention strategies with lifecycle marketing efforts. This role combines a deep understanding of customer behavior with innovative lifecycle marketing strategies to enhance customer engagement, improve retention rates, increase customer winbacks, and maximize customer lifetime value (CLV).
This role reports to the CMO and is a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
This role will play a key part in shaping the company’s future by delivering compelling strategies and strengthening customer relationships. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in both customer retention strategies and end to end lifecycle marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a cross-functional team of lifecycle marketing professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and customer-centricity within the team and across departments.
- Provide clear direction and relevant communication to senior leaders and stakeholders regarding performance and communicate actionable insights on opportunities and next steps
- Develop and lead comprehensive marketing strategies that reduce churn, improve winbacks, increase retention and enhance customer satisfaction. Set and track KPIs related to customer churn, retention rates, and customer lifetime value (CLV).
- Design and execute marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, acquisition, and customer retention across various owned channels (email, sms, push etc.). Define innovative strategies using new channels and technologies to pivot growth success.
- Leverage data and customer insights to personalize marketing efforts and increase customer lifetime value (CLV).
- Work closely with product teams to ensure marketing initiatives align with product offerings, innovation, and customer feedback.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Seasoned senior leader with 12-15 years of experience in marketing, customer retention, or related roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to foster collaboration and innovation.
- Demonstrated experience in using CRM systems, ESPs, marketing automation tools, and customer data platforms (CDPs). Braze experience is preferred.
- Strong experience in a subscription business model, with a background in DTC e-commerce brands.
- Expertise in customer lifecycle management, marketing strategies, and retention best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret extensive data to make actionable recommendations to the business. Proficient in Excel and data visualization tools (Mode, Amplitude, BI Tools, etc.).
- Strong project management skills, highly organized and demonstrated ability to execute projects on time or early.
- Must be able to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with partners at multiple levels within an organization (operations, marketing, finance, creative, etc.).

- Salary range: $170k-190k
