Senior Project Manager

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to help lead the successful tracking and implementation of several large and complex program-related activities, and diverse projects and processes spanning business units and partners. The Senior Project Manager will develop and manage processes, schedules, and stakeholder expectations throughout the full program deployment and expansion life-cycle. Contributions to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving program delivery are highly valued in this role.
This role is remote if the selected candidate is based outside of the New York City Metropolitan area; it is hybrid to New York. This position will be on our Operations team, reporting to our Head of Program Implementation. The salary range for this role is $135,000-170,000
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple product offerings
- Prepare and manage detailed project plans for all project phases
- Understand the interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs, in particular in the banking, payments, and/or fintech industries
- Partner cross-functionally to define and communicate the Statement of Work and project specifications for contracted services
- Establish and manage practices, templates, and tools to expand and scale these capabilities for the organization
- Manage the day-to-day project activities and meetings across all relevant parties and resources
- Evaluate the progress of a project to detect limitations or faults to seek solutions to a more efficient process
- Deliver appropriate and effective executive-level communication providing status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues
- Manage project and program issues and risks to mitigate the impact on timelines
- Lead up, across, and down multiple business and technology organizations
- Work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment to achieve project milestones
- Determine prioritization of competing priorities on projects in flight
Qualifications
- 8+ years of project management across multiple internal and external resources in the banking, payments, and/or fintech industries is required
- Extensive experience managing large-scale tech/product implementation and scaling projects with fast turnaround times across multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with fintech and/or payments industry
- A bachelor’s degree in management or a related discipline preferred
- PMP and/or Agile and/or Six Sigma certifications preferred
- Extensive knowledge of project management principles, methods, and techniques
- Extensive experience utilizing project management platforms such as Monday, Smartsheet and Google Suite for managing large scale, multi party projects
- Excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation) and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality work in a fast-paced startup environment
- Must be authorized to work and permanently based in the United States
