About the Role

This leader will play a critical role in shaping how publishers and advertisers connect to Moloco and how signal flows through our platform at scale. You will own a foundational part of our Ads business, spanning SDKs, measurement, customer solutions, and ingestion infrastructure, while also helping extend Moloco into the next generation of AI-native monetization surfaces.

This is an opportunity to lead a high-impact platform organization and influence how Moloco serves emerging publisher needs in a fast-evolving ecosystem. You will work across engineering, product, and business teams to build durable platform capabilities, improve technical excellence, and help define the future of monetization for AI-native applications.

The Ads Platform organization sits at the intersection of publisher integrations, data measurement, customer solutions, and ingestion infrastructure, forming the connective tissue between Moloco’s publisher ecosystem and our high-scale backend systems. As Director, Ads Platforms and AI Apps, you will lead four deeply interconnected engineering teams - Measurements, SDK, Customer Solutions, and Ingestion Infrastructure - and be accountable for the quality, reliability, scalability, and strategic direction of the systems they own. In addition to leading this core platform area, you will help shape Moloco’s approach to AI-native publisher monetization. This includes building platform capabilities that help AI app publishers integrate with Moloco, unlock high-quality monetization, and support new signal and format requirements for conversational and context-rich environments.

We are looking for a leader who can combine strong engineering management with platform thinking, technical depth, and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Measurements, SDK, Customer Solutions, and Ingestion Infrastructure engineering teams and define technical direction, priorities, and operating cadence.
  • Evolve the Ads Platform organization beyond feature delivery, with stronger focus on reliability, scalability, maintainability, and long-term technical health.
  • Partner closely with peer engineering leaders to align client-side, platform, and backend architecture across Moloco’s ads ecosystem.
  • Improve engineering quality across architecture, testing, release management, observability, incident response, and operational rigor.
  • Coach and grow engineering managers, senior engineers, and technical leaders through strong feedback, mentorship, and clear expectations.
  • Help attract and hire exceptional talent by contributing to org design, role definition, and candidate assessment.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Design, Data, Solutions Engineering, and business stakeholders to align roadmaps and execution plans.
  • Help define and build platform capabilities that support AI-native publisher monetization, including new forms of signal handling, integration, and ad experience requirements.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to understand publisher needs and translate them into scalable platform investments.
  • Drive cross-team alignment on ambiguous, multi-stakeholder technical problems and make pragmatic tradeoffs in service of long-term business impact.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience in one or more relevant areas such as SDK, backend systems, infrastructure, supply or mediation, creative platforms, or adjacent ad tech domains.
  • 3+ years of engineering leadership experience as an engineering manager, tech lead manager, or equivalent.
  • Experience in one or more of the following domains: publisher SDK or mediation, data measurement or analytics pipelines, ingestion or event-streaming infrastructure, or technical customer solutions / solutions engineering  with demonstrated ability to lead effectively across areas outside your direct specialty.
  • Experience leading cross-functional engineering initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and partner teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and translate broad business or product needs into clear engineering direction.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading or partnering closely with Ads measurement, attribution, or data pipeline engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with event ingestion systems, streaming infrastructure, or data reliability at scale.
  • Track record of leading customer-facing or solutions engineering teams alongside core product engineering.
  • Familiarity with both client-side and server-side considerations in ads or monetization platforms.
  • Experience improving reliability, observability, scalability, and release quality for production systems.
  • Experience working in high-scale ad tech, monetization, or platform environments.
  • Experience mentoring senior engineers or tech leads and helping organizations raise their technical bar.
  • Experience partnering across engineering, product, and business teams in fast-moving environments.
