Position Summary:
Momentous is looking for a Creative Director to join the Marketing Team to lead Creative strategy and content creation. This position reports to the SVP of Marketing and will be supported by an internal team as well as external agencies and freelancers. The Creative Director will drive the look and feel of our brand and collaborate across departments to ensure all content needs are met.
Responsibilities:
Steward the Momentous Brand Identity
- Steward the brand’s voice, storytelling, visual identity, and creative strategy across key brand-led initiatives and major campaigns.
- Develop and maintain clear, scalable brand guidelines, visual toolkits, and messaging frameworks to ensure consistency across all touchpoints.
Lead High-Impact Creative Campaigns
- Lead the concepting and execution of brand campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and customer growth.
- Partner closely with GTM, Growth, Retail, Ecomm and Partnerships teams to deliver strategic creative assets for key launches, activations, and product initiatives.
- Deliver high-quality creative outputs that bring Marketing Leadership's brand vision and strategic priorities to life.
Enable Cross-Functional Teams for Scale
- Build self-serve creative systems and resources (templates, guides, brand books) that allow internal teams and external partners to create on-brand assets independently.
- Create approval processes that balance brand integrity with speed, ensuring the creative team is a strategic partner—not a bottleneck.
- Inspire and Manage the Internal Creative Team
- Lead a small but mighty internal creative team (design, copy, production), managing workload, timelines, and priorities.
- Mentor, coach, and inspire creative talent, cultivating a high-performing and innovative team culture.
- Partner with the SVP of Marketing to identify resourcing needs and scale creative capabilities efficiently
Own Agency and Vendor Relationships
- Manage agency and freelancer relationships to extend creative capacity, ensuring all external work is consistent with Momentous brand standards and approved strategic direction.
Drive Brand Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Stay ahead of creative and cultural trends to keep the brand fresh, modern, and differentiated.
- Proactively identify opportunities to evolve the brand’s creative expression as the company scales into retail and new markets.
Qualifications:
- Ten years of relevant experience, with seven or more years as a creative director or art director for an agency or brand (preferably a fast-growing startup)
- Strong people leader with experience leading an internal team of diverse, talented creatives and building a function within an organization
- Experience in creating marketing/advertising campaigns — from developing the vision and messaging platform to overseeing production on time and within budget
- Experience in creating integrated content across all marketing channels: digital, social media, paid media, mobile, offline, and print
- Proven ability to develop successful concepts
- Strong creative vision, with an eye on business objectives
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, design, communications, media, or related field
- Experience as a copywriter, graphic designer, or production artist
- Experience in project management, with a focus on creative direction
- Ability to think strategically and translate a creative vision into an executable plan
- Great communication and collaboration skills to work effectively cross-functionally and with agency partners

This is a hybrid position out of our Park City, UT office.
