Position Summary:

The Director of Retail Sales will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s retail sales strategy to drive revenue growth, expand retail partnerships, and enhance in-store brand presence. You will oversee national and regional accounts and work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, operations, and product development. This role is also responsible for eRetail partnerships and sales. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive retail sales strategy that drives market expansion through new customer acquisition and channel development
  • Identify and capitalize on emerging market opportunities and trends within the nutrition and supplement industry and foster relationships with key industry partners
  • Manage and grow current retail accounts (e.g. Scheels and Harmons) and establish new retail and wholesale partnerships 
  • Negotiate and manage contracts, promotional planning, and pricing strategies with retail partners and distributors
  • Collaborate with marketing on in-store merchandising, campaigns, and trade shows
  • Travel to key accounts to educate retail partners and serve as the voice of the retail customer within the organization.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings.
  • Own eRetail partnerships and sales, identifying opportunities to drive continued growth in these channels
  • Partner with Marketing, Product Development, and Operations to ensure seamless product launches and marketing campaigns.
  • Lead forecasting efforts for sales and monitor SKU-specific data to support inventory planning and production schedules with the product and supply chain functions
  • Analyze sales performance data, customer insights, and market trends to inform strategy and optimize results
  • Collaborate with Finance to set pricing strategies, manage sales budgets, and forecast revenue.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required; MBA preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in retail sales leadership roles, preferably within the nutrition, supplements, or CPG industry
  • Proven track record of growing retail sales and building long-term retail partnerships
  • Deep understanding of the retail landscape, especially in supplements or natural products
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms, sales forecasting tools, and sales performance metrics
  • Experience developing long-term strategic partnerships with retailers, distributors, and key accounts
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with experience representing the company externally

Location/Travel:

  • This is a hybrid role based out of our Park City headquarters with travel 3 - 4x/month.
