⭐Our Financial Health team

As business lending continues to grow in Monzo, it has created an opportunity for a senior expert to join our Financial Health team. We’re looking for a Financial Health Business Banking Specialist to lead the next stage of development of Monzo’s collections and recoveries processes and policies for our small business lending products.  As an expert in small business collections and recoveries, you’ll drive fresh thinking within this space, and help us achieve the next phase of our growth ambition. The successful person will drive forward our strategic thinking around small business lending and will help to leverage new insights and opportunities emerging in the treatment of financial difficulties.

🔑You’ll play a key role by...

  • Building our collections and recoveries processes and policies for our Business Banking products
  • Shaping and developing our customer engagement strategy for businesses in financial difficulty
  • Shaping and developing our litigation strategy together with our Legal team
  • Leading the continuous development, implementation and improvement of the processes, structures, capabilities, capacity and infrastructure needed to deliver agreed plans and targets
  • Establishing baseline MI to monitor portfolio health and customer outcomes for arrears cases in our business banking portfolio

You’ll spend your time:

  • Being the subject matter expert for all things FinHealth related to Business Lending
  • Working closely with our Legal teams in building out our litigation processes
  • Working with our Analytics teams to Create and own the MI which would be presented to Credit Risk Committee
  • Working closely with teams responsible for Business Banking (Credit Risk Management, Engineers, Product Managers) to ensure we achieve the best possible outcomes for our customers as well as Monzo
  • Participating  in governance forums (Borrowing Credit Monitoring Meeting and Credit Risk Committee) and represent the Financial Health function on Business Banking topics

🤩We’d love to hear from you if…

  • You have in-depth knowledge of Collections and Recoveries strategies within the small business lending Space
  • You hold deep understanding of collections and recoveries, processes, industry best practices and regulatory requirements
  • You’re experienced in small and medium sized business lending
  • You can bring a dynamic energy to the team, and are keen for the chance to improve our products and help ship changes to our customers
  • You are a strong communicator, able to cut through complex problems and articulate decision points
  • You have some experience in project management and coordination across teams
  • You work well collaborating in a team with diverse skill-sets and personality types
  • You have a working understanding of the regulations that apply to lending in the UK
  • You are highly motivated and energised by the idea of bringing positive impact to our customers and Monzo

📍This role can be based in our London or Cardiff offices, or be distributed working within the UK (with ad hoc meetings in London)
