About the Position:
Are you passionate about making a real impact in the lives of individuals on their recovery journey? Mountainside is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Program Manager, Outpatient Services to lead our dedicated clinical team and deliver holistic, client-centered care. In this role, you’ll work closely with a multi-disciplinary treatment team to design individualized recovery experiences that honor the mind, body, and spirit of each client. You’ll provide both individual and group therapy, facilitate treatment sessions, and ensure seamless coordination of care with external partners—including families, physicians, psychiatrists, legal supports, universities, and EAP representatives. Beyond direct care, you’ll take on a key leadership role—modeling effective brief treatment and case management strategies, and providing ongoing supervision, mentorship, and clinical support to the outpatient counseling team. Monday - Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Some evenings may be required to accommodate client and program needs
Your Role:
Program Oversight & Leadership
- Provide leadership and day-to-day oversight of clinical and administrative operations within assigned virtual outpatient program.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and the Business Code of Conduct.
- Develop and implement long-term planning and quality improvement initiatives aligned with company goals and industry best practices.
- Monitor program performance using department metrics and quality assurance tools; submit reports as required.
Team Management & Development
- Supervise and support clinical and administrative staff, offering constructive feedback and guidance to ensure excellence in client care and service delivery.
- Conduct performance evaluations and develop improvement plans as needed.
- Promote continuous professional development by setting and supporting SMART goals.
- Provide or coordinate staff training and ensure onboarding processes reflect current clinical standards.
Clinical & Compliance Responsibilities
- Assist with clinical caseloads and group facilitation as necessary.
- Conduct regular audits of clinical charts to ensure compliance with internal policies, licensing requirements, and accreditation standards.
- Respond to after-hours needs and maintain on-call availability as required.
- Maintain a strong understanding of all departmental functions, with the capability to step in as needed.

Qualifications:
- Candidate must hold an independent and active license to practice as an LCSW, LMHC, LPC, or LMFT in CT, NY, NJ, or MA - required
- Candidate must have at least 1 year experience in a supervisory and/or management role - required
- Candidate must have at least 3 years' experience in the SUD/MH/co-occurring treatment landscape - required
- Candidate must have knowledge and experience in the provision of evidenced-based and researched-informed integrative care - required
- Candidate to have an active LCADC/CAC/CASAC or higher in CT, NY, NJ, or MA - preferred
Compensation:
The base rate of pay for this position is $85,000 to $100,000 per year. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
