Role Overview
MSF-USA seeks an Insights Analyst to accelerate our technology transformation centered on evidence-based decision-making.
A strategic goal of the 2022-2025 Strategic Plan is "Organizational Advancement," aiming to improve MSF-USA's organizational effectiveness. This role is part of the Digital Internal Operations team in the Systems Department, and it involves working across departments to assess their existing processes, decide on interventions, and evolve into a proactive and predictive organization in line with our new strategic plan.
The Insights Analyst's responsibilities will drive our organizational reporting and Business Intelligence capacity while contributing to key strategic projects. The Analyst will also learn to use Generative AI as an accelerator for enabling analytics where those opportunities exist. The ideal candidate is someone with a strong analytical profile eager to develop their data visualization, dashboards, and analytical reporting skills.
Department Accountabilities
Infrastructure and Network Development and Maintenance
Develop and maintain the infrastructure and network, including network planning, operational tasks, data management, incident logging, reporting, systems monitoring, systems testing, and disaster recovery.
Support Users and Business Units
Provide support, advice, training, and assistance to users in resolving queries and ensuring MSF-USA understands the applications/ website capabilities well.
Product Development & Innovation
Develop existing and new applications by analyzing and identifying areas for modification to improve “As Is" and meet MSF needs.
Information Security
Develop specifications for, advise on, and implement information and security solutions and tools to protect and monitor security incidents and prevent unauthorized access or damage.
Support MSF Movement
Support technology operations on behalf of the movement in the US home society. Share expertise with the rest of the movement by participating in Communities of Practice and other collaborating initiatives.
PMO
Define and maintain the project management standards for MSF and introduce economies of repetition in the execution of projects. Source of documentation, guidance, and metrics on project management and execution.
Application Management
Implement applications, including data migration, to support MSF Strategy. Provide governance designed to ensure applications run at peak performance and as efficiently as possible, from the end-user experience to integrations. Implement and support new features as needed. Ensure access administration and support end-users.
Roles Specific Outcomes
- Enable business intelligence: Create dashboards and standardized reports for various teams, projects, or committees. PowerBI is our standard reporting tool across MSF-USA; however, other reporting tools may be leveraged depending on the project.
- Respond to business intelligence questions and provide relevant data products on request. Organize and maintain data products within MSF-USA.
- Supporting Strategic or International Projects through Analysis and Insights
- Work with various stakeholders to understand reporting needs. Update dashboards or collaborate with teams to create new visualizations and/or automated reporting.

Compensation
$78,399 - $117,599, based on experience
