Event Marketing Manager

Lehi, Utah, United States

MX is a fintech company on a mission to empower the world to be financially strong. We build technology that helps banks, credit unions, and fintechs deliver smarter, more intuitive financial experiences to millions of people.

Like many startups, we’ve navigated real growth challenges — and we’ve come out stronger on the other side. Today, MX is in a phase of renewed momentum and scale, with a solid foundation and a clear vision for what’s next. This is a place where thoughtful execution matters, innovation is encouraged, and individuals have real ownership over their work.

Our culture values curiosity, accountability, and impact. We give people the space to question assumptions, design better solutions, and help shape how the company grows. If you’re looking to do meaningful work, influence outcomes, and grow alongside a company that’s ready to move fast, you’ll feel at home at MX.

MX is on a mission to Empower the World to be Financially Strong, and events are one of the most powerful ways we bring that mission to life for prospective clients. As Event Marketing Manager, you will own the end-to-end execution of MX's regional event program — roadshows, roundtables, executive dinners, and regional trade shows — working with demand generation leadership on strategy and priorities, with every event designed to generate sales qualified leads (SQLs) and qualified pipeline in key markets.

You will also support the Director of Event Marketing on tier-one industry events and partner event activations — owning the dinners, receptions, and ancillary activities attached to them — and support partner marketing initiatives such as co-hosted events and joint campaigns with MX's partner ecosystem. You will build and maintain the tracking and reporting that proves event ROI, and work hand-in-hand with our BDR team before, during, and after every event to convert engagement into SQLs, meetings, and pipeline.

Success in this role means every event has a clear pipeline goal, a coordinated BDR play, and a measurable return — and MX's presence in regional markets grows stronger with every activation.

What You'll Do:

Regional Event Strategy & Execution

  • Own end-to-end planning and execution of regional events — roadshows, roundtables, executive dinners, and regional trade shows — from venue and vendor selection through on-site delivery

  • Partner with sales leadership to select regions, target accounts, and personas so every event maps to pipeline opportunity

  • Manage event budgets, vendors, and logistics to maximize ROI and cost efficiency

Industry & Partner Event Support

  • Support the Director of Event Marketing on tier-one industry conferences and trade shows, helping to own and define workstreams such as pre-event campaigns, meeting programs, and on-site logistics

  • Own dinners, receptions, and ancillary activities attached to industry events — from concept and guest targeting through on-site execution and follow-up — to deepen engagement with key accounts

  • Support partner event activations and co-marketing initiatives - co-hosted events, sponsorships, and joint campaigns with MX partners

Event Tracking, Measurement & ROI

  • Build and maintain MX's event tracking and attribution framework - lead capture, campaign structure in Marketo and Salesforce, and post-event reporting

  • Report on event performance against SQL, pipeline, and ROI targets, including cost-per-SQL and pipeline-per-event, using tools like HockeyStack and Domo

  • Use performance data to recommend which events to scale, adjust, or cut

BDR & Sales Alignment

  • Run coordinated pre-event outreach plays with the BDR team to drive registrations and booked meetings

  • Orchestrate on-site meeting programs and post-event follow-up sprints so event engagement converts to SQLs and pipeline

  • Adhere to lead capture, scoring, and routing standards so every event lead reaches sales quickly and cleanly

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, or demand generation for B2B companies

  • Proven track record of running regional events that generated measurable SQLs and pipeline

  • Hands-on experience with Marketo, Salesforce, and event management platforms (e.g., Splash); familiarity with attribution tools like HockeyStack a plus

  • Strong analytical instincts — you measure everything and can defend event spend with pipeline data

  • Experience partnering directly with BDR/SDR teams on pre- and post-event conversion plays

  • Exceptional project management and vendor management skills; comfortable running multiple events in parallel

  • Experience marketing to financial institutions or in fintech strongly preferred

  • Willingness to travel for regional, industry, and partner events (~25–40%)

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
