Join our Award Winning Sales Team as a Regional Account Manager, Central Region

You will work with retail chains, independent accounts, and distributors.  This position will grow sales by driving distribution in new and existing accounts. It is an independent and highly collaborative role requiring coordination with cross-functional resources. You will communicate with new and existing retail chains and independent stores by phone, email, or in person. You will conduct store audits as needed for shelf placement, pricing, and MyBACON promotion activity. Working with MyForest Foods products and retail store decision-makers, you will leverage relationships and work to become a trusted advisor while increasing MyBACON's sales velocity through creative problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Use Salesforce to maintain a database of new and current account opportunities 
  • Communicate quarterly promotion plans to retailers to drive sales
  • Track sales progress on a weekly and monthly basis to identify opportunities to increase sales velocities
  • Conduct retail audits as requested to ensure correct placement, merchandising, and pricing of MyBACON
  • Develop expertise in the competitive landscape and category
  • Build relationships with the distributor sales reps working on the accounts in your region
  • Manage the relationships at the Distributor DC level within your geography
  • Attend trade shows as needed
  • Deliver sales goals within budget
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of order process and supply chain, with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise from production to delivery
  • Participate in or lead cross-functional meetings as necessary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree 
  • 4+ Years CPG of Sales experience (Refrigerated or Frozen Category preferred)
  • The ability to succeed in a fast-paced and competitive work environment
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to overcome objections and build trust
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce software and the sales process
  • High level of competency on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, listening skills, presentation skills, and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail, good judgment, and the ability to make good decisions to get the job done
  • Independent and highly collaborative role working with cross-functional team
  • Must have reliable transportation to conduct store audits
  • Contacts and working knowledge of some or all of the following accounts:
      • Traditional Grocery: Publix, Meijer, HEB, Ahold, Giant, Wakefern, Brookshire Brothers, Harris Teeter, Schnuck's, Kroger and ABSCO
      • Natural/Specialty: Sprouts, Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage, Fresh Thyme, The Fresh Market, Central Market, Dierbergs
  • Extensive knowledge of UNFI and KeHE

Work Location

  • Remote Work from home CST Hours must be able to travel to your customers within a reasonable time for in-person visits
