About the Role
The Brand Payments Team Lead will supervise a team of four Brand Payments Specialists, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of invoice processing and remittance disbursement. They will be responsible for reviewing team performance, providing guidance, and leading efforts to optimize payment processes. This role will include direct communication with brand partners and the resolution of complex payment issues.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of four Brand Payments Specialists.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and ensure that the team meets established goals and deadlines.
- Oversee and review the work performed by team members, ensuring accuracy in invoice and cash collection analysis.
- Guide the team in performing detailed analysis of invoices and cash collections, ensuring accurate and timely financial operations.
- Supervise the preparation of detailed financial reports, ensuring the provision of valuable insights and actionable recommendations.
- Act as the primary contact for escalated issues with brand partners, ensuring effective communication and prompt resolution of payment-related concerns.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline payment processes, driving efficiency and accuracy within the team and across the organization.
- Work closely with internal departments and external partners to enhance payment processes and resolve any discrepancies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in brand payments, accounts receivable, or a related finance role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead position.
- Advanced proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop team members.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Excel (e.g., Vlookup, Sumif, pivot tables) and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience in a remote work environment and a proactive approach to leadership and process improvement.
- This is a fully remote position and will be expected to work 9 am - 5 pm PST Monday through Friday
