You'll manage a team responsible for accurate revenue accounting, customer billing, and efficient cash collection to support our SaaS company’s rapid growth.
As a key leader within Finance, you will collaborate closely with Sales, Legal, Customer Success, and FP&A to ensure seamless processes from contract to cash. You’ll drive automation, implement scalable systems, and develop policies that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and customer experience. What your contributions will be:
- Lead implementation of subscription billing solution in Netsuite.
- Lead all aspects of revenue accounting, including month-end close, revenue recognition, contract review, and financial reporting.
- Ensure full compliance with ASC 606, GAAP, and internal accounting policies for all revenue streams—including subscriptions, usage-based billing, and services.
- Oversee and optimize the billing operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and customer-friendly invoicing in coordination with Sales and Customer Success.
- Manage the credit and collections function, establishing clear credit policies, reducing DSO, and maintaining strong relationships with key customers.
- Develop, document, and maintain robust internal controls related to revenue, billing, and collections processes.
- Partner with Legal and Sales teams to review customer contracts and assess revenue recognition treatment.
- Lead and mentor a growing team across revenue accounting, billing, and collections functions.
- Drive continuous improvement of systems, tools, and workflows (e.g., NetSuite, billing platforms) to support scale and automation.
- Collaborate closely with FP&A on revenue forecasting and reporting insights for executive leadership.
- Prepare and support audit documentation and ensure SOX compliance (if applicable).
- Support strategic initiatives such as new pricing models, product launches, or M&A due diligence.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
- Extensive experience with Netsuite (ARM, One-world, SuiteBilling, ZoneBilling). Hands-on experience Salesforce CPQ, Zuora or other billing applications.
