About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to manage and support our IT systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the company’s IT network, servers, and security systems, ensuring high levels of availability and security for NewsBreak’s business applications and data. Additionally, this role involves providing crucial IT support to the finance, legal, and HR departments.

Responsibilities

  • Network and Security Management:
    • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot WiFi networks and firewall systems.
    • Implement and maintain security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
    • Conduct regular security audits and respond to firewall alerts to detect and mitigate threats.
  • Device Provisioning and Management:
    • Set up, configure, and manage laptops, smartphones, and other end-user devices.
    • Utilize Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms like VMware Workspace ONE, Microsoft Intune, or Jamf Pro.
  • User Account and Access Management:
    • Create, manage, and delete user accounts across platforms including Microsoft Exchange, Google Workspace, Salesforce, Slack, and Office 365.
    • Set up role-based access controls (RBAC) and manage the lifecycle of user access.
  • Operating System and Software Management:
    • Manage operating systems including Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
    • Perform software installations, updates, and patch management to ensure devices operate efficiently and securely.
  • Remote Support and Troubleshooting:
    • Manage operating systems including Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
    • Perform software installations, updates, and patch management to ensure devices operate efficiently and securely.
  • Compliance and Policy Enforcement:
    • Develop and enforce IT policies to ensure compliance with data protection regulations and company standards.
    • Maintain detailed documentation and generate reports to support audits and compliance reviews.
  • Inventory and Lifecycle Management:
    • Develop and enforce IT policies to ensure compliance with data protection regulations and company standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4-5+ years of IT administration experience in a similar environment.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) are preferred.
  • Proven experience with network and security management, including configuring and troubleshooting WiFi and firewall systems.
  • Proficiency in managing and securing end-user devices using MDM platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of user account management, operating systems, and software lifecycle management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across departments.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is listed below. Pay may vary based on a number of factors including job-related skills, level, experience, geographic location and relevant education or training. At NewsBreak, we design our overall rewards package to attract top talents. Depending on the position, the role may also be eligible for discretionary bonus and options.
