Newsweek is seeking a seasoned and results-oriented Sales Director focused on Health/Pharma to take a leadership role in our dynamic Sales team. You will be instrumental in driving revenue growth by managing and expanding our client portfolio in the digital, branded content, events, and advertising sectors.

This key position involves fostering relationships with large agency holding companies, independent agencies, and direct clients. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, you will develop strategies that will elevate our market presence and spearhead impactful sales initiatives. 

Our corporate headquarters is in New York City. The successful candidate must work in the office at least 2 days a week, with the flexibility to work from home on other days. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Spearhead revenue growth by adeptly managing relationships and closing deals across programmatic, digital, branded content, and event verticals. 
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies tailored to Health, Pharma, and wellness sectors, leveraging your industry expertise. 
  • Consistently exceed revenue targets through a strategic and consultative sales approach in a fast-paced, competitive environment. 
  • Utilize an extensive network of senior brand marketers and key decision-makers within agency holding companies and independent firms to advance Newsweek's offerings. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including creative, marketing, and operations to ensure the seamless execution of advertising campaigns. 
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to position Newsweek ahead of the competition. 

Qualifications: 

  • 5-9 years of digital advertising sales experience, with a preference for those with Health, Pharma, and wellness expertise. 
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving multi-revenue stream deals. 
  • Strong relationships across agency teams  and client direct 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain lasting client partnerships, particularly in the Tri-state / East Coast region. 
  • Proficient in CRM software and other sales management tools to optimize pipeline efficiency. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. 

Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000 based on experience, plus a competitive commission structure.
