The Role
As Nex’s Senior ML Engineer of Embedded Vision, you are in a leading role to tackle the challenge of developing the world’s best indoor motion tracking technology using widely accessible consumer hardware. You are part of an ambitious and versatile Platform Engineering Team pushing the boundaries of motion gaming through developing state-of-the-art ML/CV algorithms. Your products will transform family living rooms into active playgrounds, promoting a healthy lifestyle and being loved by millions globally. You report to the Head of Platform Engineering.
As a technology enthusiast, you always want to be part of a creative process that improves people’s lives. You are fond of new innovations, especially those intersecting the physical and digital worlds. You are a relentless learner and problem solver. You have many practical experiences adapting state-of-the-art ML/CV algorithms in embedded systems. You resist the urge to succumb to deadlines, pressure, and skepticism until you get to the root of every problem. Over the course of many years, you have devoted all your attention to the development of AI/ML especially in the computer vision area, and you can comfortably call yourself an expert in the area.

Must Have
- 5+ years of experience in designing, developing and adopting ML-based CV algorithms.
- Experience with deploying ML-based CV algorithm on the edge.
- Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Research, publications, or domain knowledge in ML and CV.
- Proficiency in English communication.
Should Have
- Deep understanding of ML/CV tools and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV, etc.
- Good understanding of ML theories and architectures, numerical optimization and image processing techniques.
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages
- Scientific mindset, ability to substantiate claims and present arguments with scientific proofs.
- Fascination with innovations and technology.
- Commitment to building useful products.
Nice To Have
- Experience in MLOps and automation.
- Knowledge of physics modeling, computational geometry, statistics and quantitative methods.
- Understanding of computer architectures, operating systems and low-level programming.
- Relevant industry connections.
- Interest in venture business and startup life.
