Credit and Collections Associate (External Agency Staff)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
The Credit and Collections Associate plays a key role in supporting the NFL with managing and analyzing the collections of payments. This position will be able to assist with accounts receivable related questions/concerns while ensuring company policies and audit procedures are being followed. Collections is a crucial part to help the company with projected cash flow forecasting. This position will communicate and collaborate within finance and all other departments across the league to resolve payment discrepancies, improve billing processes, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This position is for a fixed 6 month assignment.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the collections process by managing a large portfolio of customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
- Contact customers via phone and email to follow up on outstanding payments and resolve billing issues.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, payment plans, and disputes
- Analyzing accounts receivable data and aging reports
- Identifying trends, and implementing strategies to reduce outstanding balances
- Ability to collaborate with various departments to drive process improvements and achieve financial targets
- Answer queries regarding invoices and client onboarding to receive payments
- Investigate any discrepancy in the system and ensure correct/reliable data in the systems
- Create ad hoc reports for management team
- Be an active part of the Cash management team
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2-3 years of accounts receivable and/or finance experience preferred
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Strong Excel skills required
- Experience using ERP tool
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional experience with accounting responsibilities
- Experience with Oracle Cloud and vendor onboarding systems

Terms / Expected Hours of Work
- This position is required to work 40 hours per week. No overtime or weekends are required.
- This position is for a fixed 6 month assignment.
- This job posting is for a position with one of the NFL’s third-party agency partners that provides services to the NFL. The individual selected for this role will be an employee of that third-party agency and not the NFL. All compensation, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment are handled by the agency. The assignment to provide services to the NFL will be limited in duration but may be extended for an additional period by agreement between the NFL and the agency.
Salary / Pay Range
This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
Salary
$30 - $33 USD
