Summary/Objective: 

The NFL Marketing Science and Strategy (MS&S) team sits at the center of NFL’s marketing organization driving the overall strategy, planning, and performance efforts. The Consumer Media group manages all paid, owned and partner media assets to drive maximum performance effectiveness & efficiency of NFL’s Marketing campaigns.   

We are seeking a Media Planning & Linear Activation Associate to help plan, implement and track our cross-channel initiatives while helping to ensure flawless activation/trafficking of our linear media plans.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Media Strategy Development: Reporting to the Sr. Director of Media Strategy & Planning, aid in the creation of annual strategic cross-channel media plans supporting the league’s strategic priorities. Ensure strategies are forward-thinking and utilize the latest media trends & technologies 
  • Tactical Media Planning: Develop tactical media plans supporting campaigns across NFL business priorities. Partner with Performance Media & Optimization team to ensure all paid, owned and partner inventory is leveraged holistically aligned to Marketing priorities & media strategy. Collaborate with media agency in development of all plans. 
  • Linear Channel Activation: Help manage and improve trafficking process to ensure accurate and timely delivery of creative assets to media platforms/partners.  
  • Campaign Tracking & Optimization: Manage the guidelines and documentation tied to promotional prioritization and media inventory management (weighting, flighting, targeting, etc). Manage workflow and communication to ensure that deadlines are efficiently and consistently met. Aid in the development and implementation of media effectiveness measurement plans & learning agendas.  
  • Vendor & Partner Relationships: Maintain strong, collaborative working relationship with all NFL media partners  
  • On-going management of media plan tracking including flowcharts and budget summaries  

Required Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree  
  • At least 5+ years of relevant media planning & trafficking experience. 
  • Strong knowledge of the video (linear, CTV, OTT etc.) advertising landscape with experience developing and implementing television media plans. 
  • Working knowledge of linear trafficking resources like Extreme Reach & AD-ID 
  • International experience a plus

Travel: 

  • Limited travel required 

 Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • Weekend & night work required during the season 
  • This job posting is for a position with one of the NFL’s third-party agency partners that provides services to the NFL. The individual selected for this role will be an employee of that third-party agency and not the NFL. All compensation, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment are handled by the agency. The assignment to provide services to the NFL will be limited in duration but may be extended for an additional period by agreement between the NFL and the agency.

Salary / Pay Range

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

Salary

$1,600 - $1,800 USD
