Event Operations Lead Associate
The NFL is seeking a contract employee whose primary responsibility is the planning and tactical execution of the NFL’s portfolio of live events focused on the league’s international games outside of Europe. This role will also support the Super Bowl, NFL Draft, and other domestic NFL Live Events as needed. This role is maternity leave coverage (6 months).
The ideal candidate will have experience in large-scale event management, stadium/venue operations, international event logistics, and team/athlete management. Additionally, the candidate has experience working in a matrixed organization, a proven track record of working cross-functionally, and strong presentation and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Support planning and execution of the NFL’s major events with a focus on the international games and other domestic tentpole events
- Support the event lead overall including but not limited to; master site planning, venue and facility management, vendor management, production, budgeting, site operations, transportation, wayfinding, logistical planning, and execution including oversight of agencies in these roles
- Take a leadership role in core elements of the event as assigned
- Develop and manage event master schedules
- Oversee site visits and coordinate event planning meetings, develop agendas and create follow up task lists
- Ensure smooth operations for the NFL’s key constituent groups including but not limited to participating teams, team ownership, partners, media, broadcast, fans and staff
- Coordinate with all internal NFL Departments to ensure onsite needs are met
- Liaise with NFL Security Department to develop and implement event emergency plans
- Manage event site builds and operations
- Coordinate onsite temporary labor, staff, and volunteers
- Develop and manage production budgets
- Develop and deliver visually appealing, persuasive, and effective presentation materials
- Ability to present clearly to cross-organizational group regularly
- Provide operational support across ancillary events as needed
- Provide administrative support including but not limited to contract management, invoicing, and scheduling
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree +
- 5+ years of major event production or operations experience
- Past venue management and logistics planning experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Ability to lead others and collaborate with a variety of groups at different levels
- Experience managing production and event budgets
- Previous experience producing international large scale events
- Demonstrated experience working with outside agencies
- Strong organizational and presentation skills
- Strong writing and communications skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Proactive self-starter who works well within a team, strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work long hours, weekends and holidays
Terms /Expected Hours of Work:
- NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week with overtime as needed.
Salary / Pay Range

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
Salary
$1,700 - $2,200 USD
