Manager, Revenue & Strategy

The NFL’s Club Business Development department (Club BD) supports the 32 clubs in delivering direct local value and best-in-class fan experiences via data-driven insights and innovation. The team utilizes its robust sports business expertise to develop 'next practices' and facilitates the sharing of 'best practices' between clubs.  In addition to working with the clubs, Club BD works cross-functionally to drive key strategic initiatives at a League level, including the sales, marketing, strategic planning, and operations behind the League’s domestic and international tentpole events.

The Manager, Revenue & Strategy, will support two main initiatives:

  • A cross-functional program developed and lead by Club BD that identifies opportunities to optimize club revenue and drive sustainable, local business improvements.
  • The sales, strategy, and operations of the NFL’s Super Bowl Suites.

Both initiatives require collaboration with internal NFL teams, the 32 clubs, and third parties at all levels of seniority.

This role is at the unique intersection of strategy, analytics, consulting, and business development. Candidates with mastery in one or multiple of these skillsets, as well as generalists, will be considered. Strong skillsets in data analysis, project management, and organization are most preferred.

The individual in this role will also have the opportunity to support critical strategic initiatives both within the Club Business Development group as well as cross-organizational groups that inform club revenue, fan engagement, and gameday experience strategies, among others.

This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Revenue & Strategy of Club Business Development.

Responsibilities

  • Support local business optimization initiative across League and clubs, collaborating with League and club stakeholders, and external vendors
  • Support the development of the data model that identifies the revenue opportunities across the 32 NFL clubs and lead project management across the program
  • Support Super Bowl Suite sales, pricing, and reporting, and drive the execution of operations and backend management
  • Drive local business analysis to inform actionable insights and strategic recommendations in coordination with Club Business Development’s club consulting team
  • Support analysis and reporting across Club BD initiatives on an ad-hoc basis. Mainly executive League meeting and End of Season reporting materials.
  • Develop strong, respectful relationships and build credibility with Club and League Office business contacts

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of experience in management consulting, strategy & analytics, project management, business development or related fields

Other Key Attributes / Characteristics

  • Excellent communication, project management, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills, including ability to derive insights from complex data / analytics / research, visualize those findings, and present to all levels of an organization
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Problem solving and issue resolution skills, strong ability to “keep the ball moving forward”
  • Ability to navigate successfully a matrixed, cross-organizational landscape, fostering strong relationships along the way
  • Unwavering commitment to honest and ethical business interactions
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, good time management and organizational skills
  • Sports business experience a plus but not required
  • Candidate should be a self-starter, independent, a creative thinker, ambitious, results and detail-oriented

Salary / Pay Range

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range. 

Salary

$90,000 - $125,000 USD

This role requires onsite presence at an NFL office or stadium location, and remote and/or hybrid working options are not offered.
