Summary

This temporary position (July to January) will require individuals to support NFL Game Statistics throughout the 2025 season. This role requires excellent football knowledge and attention to detail to monitor all game statistics and official NFL data feeds for accuracy. Additional functions include the postgame review of NFL game statistics, processing of NCAA football statistics and matching data to

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all NFL play-by-play statistics, team statistics and legalized sports betting data feeds are accurate and consistent across the NFL for every game during the 2025 season
  • Full comprehension of the NFL Guide for Statisticians and NFL Rulebook
  • Compile training materials and feedback to be distributed to Official Scoring personnel across the NFL to establish operational and statistical scoring efficiency
  • Process NCAA football statistics on a weekly basis, including logging game video and play-by-play data
  • Track and identify each player from every play of the NFL season • Additional duties as assigned by department

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent knowledge of NFL and NCAA football (statistics, playing rules, players...etc.)
  • Football/Sports industry experience desired

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • In-person role, based out of New York City NFL Office
  • Must be available to support and work all NFL games (nights and weekends) during the NFL season, including Holidays and Sundays
  • 40+ Hours Per Week o Weekly Function: Monday-Friday o Game Support Function: Weekends, Weeknights, Holidays…etc. 

 

Salary / Pay Range

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range. 

 

Salary

$25 - $25 USD
